The pizza is very good. Some flavors are amazing. This spot fills up at meal time, so best to avoid the lunch rush as there is not alot of seating inside. They also have a very good chocolate chip cookie.

Super good!! Very light and airy but also chewy and crispy on the surface. The salumi sandwich is very well balanced. They have happy hour 3-4pm so 5$ a square.

Super cute inside. Friendly people working there. The pizza is fantastic. When people say “bread makes you fat” I’m certain now they’re talking about focaccia bread. It’s so so good and then when I wasn’t eating it, I was definitely thinking about eating more of it. And then I come to find there’s focaccia pizza?! Couldn’t be a better combo. I got the pepperoni (forgot what my bf got but he did like it a lot) and was just gonna have a bite before I got home. Ate most of it on the way home because I didn’t want to stop. There garlic balls were also very good!

This is another restaurant that does food as a well oiled machine delivering great flavors, consistent service and an exceptional experience all around. The atmosphere is good although there’s not a lot of seating it does rotate rather quickly and there’s indoor outdoor seating. I think their salads are just as good as they are focaccia so it’s nice to have the options.

First time here and I was extremely impressed. The food was delicious and affordable and came really quick. My gf got the salumi salami sandwich which had an awesome flavor and great balance and I got the vodka sausage pizza. We shared the radicchio salad which was solid but could have had a bit more dressing. The location also boasts a cute interior. I am looking forward to coming back.

Been wanting to try this place for awhile – and i feel it lived up to the personal hype! Delicious, oily moist focaccia with lots of different topping options. I got the mushroom option with comes with a big pile of arugula and ricotta (i think thats what cheese it was, i dont know my cheeses lol). DELICIOUS!
Also, good deal for the garlic balls. Can’t wait to bring my mom back here XD
Small inside, was a little crowded when we went for lunch but were able to get a seat inside anyways

Our experience was amazing! We were talking with Jesse the restaurant manager. We explained to him that we had the pizza at an event and we were totally impressed with everything. He graciously said “ Let me give you some slices to take home and try. No charge.” He even included some tiramisu and panicotta desserts. Thank you so much for your hospitality and future success.

I’ve been a customer at both the Montelupo & Focacceria in Sellwood spots for quite some time now.

I came into Montelupo recently with my wife to place a takeaway order. The woman with dark brunette hair at the register (who processed the transaction below) was extraordinarily rude & impatient with us. Candidly, I’ve never been treated so poorly by someone taking my money before.

We were at the register for a mere 90 seconds, and it was nowhere near as busy as it has been in prior times that we’ve patroned the establishment. We also shared with this woman that we’d only order 4 dishes to go – and by the time we were ordering the final dish, she literally asked us to step out of line & come back later to order once we’d figured things out. I’ve never had a cashier ask that before. We proceeded to put in our final order and complete the transaction. I made a conscious decision not to include a tip due to the way she was treating us, and when she saw that I hadn’t included the tip she gave me a dirty look, turned around and said nothing to us. Not even a “thank you” or “your order will be ready in X minutes”. I had to check myself with my wife to see if I was misinterpreting the circumstances, and she responded “no, that was horrible service.”

When I came back 20 minutes later, this same woman was at the counter and refused to acknowledge me. I was standing 5 feet away, and there was not a single other customer in the market area. She just stood there looking elsewhere & avoiding eye contact. I finally saw the bartender come over and ask me if the order was mine – he picked up my order that had been sitting there and handed it to me.

I’ve never had an experience like this at Montelupo nor the Focacceria before. To be honest, I’ve never had an experience like that anywhere. It’s hard for me as a paying customer to feel welcome in an establishment where the mentality of the cashier is adversarial toward patrons. It’s very clear to me that the customer service at Montelupo has a long way to go to catch up to the quality of the food being served there. When I shared this feedback directly with Montelupo’s management team, they never even responded. Clearly, they don’t care about their patrons.

I sadly won’t be returning to Montelupo again as a customer – I value the money I work hard to earn, and want to spend it at businesses that value me as a customer.
