We really liked the baked goods. I definitely had an odd conversation where I was asking the barista if they had any flavored drip coffee, and she kept trying to tell me that they had a drip coffee that had notes of flavor. I felt like we were doing that Who’s On First bit, lol. Brewing a daily flavored coffee in addition to the house blend would be nice.

One thing about me is, I love sipping on a good cup of coffee.
As my girlfriend and I made our last stops in South Haven before heading back to Chicago, we knew we wanted to grab some coffee. We found this coffee shop mixed in with all of the shops in the area and were happy to stop in.
The vibe was pretty chill, and the barista was friendly and helpful. I ordered a regular latte and my girl got the Chai Tea.
All in all our drinks were good and got the job done. We were both satisfied with our purchase. We’ll have to stop back in when we’re back in South Haven again.

This is a local and fun coffee joint that serves up good brews as well! I was visiting the area and saw the fun theme so decided to stop by. I’m so glad I did! The theme of the coffee shop is adorable and runs throughout the store and even into their products. Service was fast and the coffee was very good, I even purchased a bag to take home. Would absolutely go again if I was in the area! Also dog friendly!

We have been traveling around Michigan for the past several years. Our focus is lake towns along Lake Huron, Lake Superior and of course my favorite, Lake Michigan. We were in South Haven for the day and exploring the town and we found a fabulous coffee shop – “The Flying Saucer”. Great friendly service in a nice shop. The Capuchinos were amazing at a very good price. The counter staff were engaging and made you feel welcome. What more could you want, a great Capuchino in a beautiful lake town on Lake Michigan. If you like coffee, you have to stop at the Flying Saucer in South Haven.

Very nice little independent coffee shop. Spacious old fashioned interior with wooden floors and chill music. My small latte had two shots of espresso and was tasty and very reasonably priced. There are a couple of autographed photos of Star Trek cast members hanging on the wall along with a number of other sci-fi works of art, in keeping with the flying saucer theme.

This was easily one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. We arrived 15 minutes before closing, ordered quickly, and were already packing up to leave. From the moment we walked in, the barista’s attitude made it clear she was upset that we were there at all. She was openly disrespectful and clearly annoyed the entire time.
When it turned one minute past closing, someone in our group needed to use the bathroom before we left. The barista became visibly irritated and pointed out that they were closed, snapping, “Why would you be going to the bathroom if we’re closed?” Her tone and comments were rude, unnecessary, and embarrassing.
We were genuinely confused as to why we were treated this way especially since we tipped her. I work at a coffee shop myself and would never speak to customers like this, even at closing time. I’ve never brought friends here before and was excited to share a place I liked, but instead I walked away embarrassed. This experience completely ruined my impression of the shop.

nice little local coffee shop. it’s got a nice central location, and it’s not too far from the lake. interior is very cute, i liked the theming, and the staff were very nice. prices are fair and the coffee was tasty. muffins could have been better but were still fine. nice little place to stop by if you’re in the mood for a drink and a sit.

Visiting from Indiana, heard the Flying Saucer had good coffee. We had our 1st French Press Coffee. Medium Roast. It was delicious. Had a nice selection of fresh baked goods. My friend like lemon so we got the lemon bar.. I’m not a big lemon person but it was so good. I had planned on just taking a bite but ate half. Highly recommend the lemon bar. My friend said it was like a lemon curd. Our barrister was so nice and knowledgeable. I wish I had gotten her name. Highly recommend the Flying Saucer.

My favorite coffee shop our little town has had. The coffee has amazing flavor, the owner and staff are lovely and the atmosphere is just tops. I highly reccomend the lavender London fog latte, I’ve never found one that is as good anywhere else. The caramel silk latte is a great 2nd choice!
