The coffee was made quickly, but the service was terrible. Nobody called out our name when our food was ready, even though we were sitting right across from the counter.

The staff just stood around chatting, completely ignoring us. After waiting for 20 minutes, I finally went up to ask about our order, and when I asked, they claimed they had called our name—which they definitely hadn’t.

The whole process was slow, and they didn’t even check if the food was served to the customers. Really disappointing experience, even though the food was pretty good.

Steak and egg bagel sandwich was pretty decent. It was tastier than I expected given that it’s basically from a coffee cart. Downside is that for $12 I expect a better bagel. It tasted like a grocery store bagel–dry. I would hope that they’d at least spring for Costco bagels!! That said, it was tasty enough to have again.

The scramble bowl was really good and a lot of food (4 strips of bacon!). The combo of arugula, tomato, and capers with the eggs, bacon and potatoes was an unexpected delight. I like how the flavors came together and the fresh veggies made the bowl feel a little lighter. Added plus, the potatoes in the bowl are the fries they use at the Roger, which are basically really thick cut chips. Delicious! And no way I can finish it.

Modern elegance combined with a cozy atmosphere, it is a great place to meet people or hashing out ideas!

The cappuccino I ordered was expertly prepared, with a creamy foam and a rich, robust espresso base. What truly set it apart, however, was its temperature—served just right, it provided a satisfying warmth without being scalding.

I don’t recommend the coffee. I dropped in for a cold brew. The cold brew is stored in a hot coffee server under the hot coffee brewer, which is odd. They ran out while filling my order, so the man behind the counter went to the sink, poured in some concentrate, and then started diluting it with tap water from the sink, using a random plastic bottle to transfer the water. Unsurprisingly, the resulting “cold brew” tasted like tap water and was very diluted.

Awful. Awful. Awful.

I also saw them using a handheld milk frother instead of the steam wand on their machine. Maybe they do cold foam, but I have a feeling the employees have zero training and don’t know how to use the actual steam wand.

The chicken sandwich with fries that I just received from this restaurant when is it worth traveling all the way to San Francisco just to eat. It literally is one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had in my life and the french fries are very unique, also. Highly recommend this café and hotel!
