We only recently discovered this place, and now my husband and I love coming here! Everything we’ve gotten so far has been amazing. Decent prices too!!
And we discovered that they use freshly milled flour in all their products!!! Amazing!!! ❤❤❤

My daughter and I have done two of the baking classes at the Flour District and loved them both. The sourdough class was easily one of the best Christmas presents I have given in years. I checked someone off my list and have been enjoying fresh baked bread at home ever since!! Everything from the bakery is delicious. I was very impressed to see cardamom buns while we were there. I hope they’ll continue and expand the cooking class offerings – they book up fast! Thanks again to Amy, Stephanie, and Brian for the outstanding classes!

This is one of my favorite spots in Lynchburg. I love the cafe experience; they have excellent lattes and pastries. The cooking classes are wonderful. I’ve taken the pasta class and a scone-making class, and they are so fun. The staff is friendly and kind. They also offer catering, and you can rent their beautiful spaces for small events. This is a neighborhood favorite. Highly recommend!

The Flour District class was such an incredible experience! We made ravioli from scratch, and it was hands-down one of the most fun and memorable classes I’ve taken. Stephanie, the owner, is truly passionate about what she does, and her energy and love for the business made the entire experience even better.
She explained everything clearly, made it approachable for everyone, and created such a fun, welcoming atmosphere. Laughing, learning, and making delicious ravioli, what more could you ask for? We hosted a Sprinkle for my sister today and it was a wonderful experience! Amy and her team did an amazing job preparing the food and setting up the space so that it would be comfortable for everyone who attended. We highly recommend this venue for anyone interested in hosting a small to medium size gathering. It is such a lovely venue with high quality services!

This is set up like a coffee shop with unique decor. The center holds a beautiful antique apothecary table, low velvet sofas, and faux wood tables. The atmosphere is a mix of modern and antique but it all feels clean.
You won’t find food served on paper products but instead on glass and good quality silverware. Love!
The service was great and the gal behind the counter had both savory and sweet recommendations. I had two boys with me who enjoyed the warm orange/ raspberry and cinnamon rolls. They were gone moments after hitting the table.

Love love love this place!! Super solid study spot if you need a place to work or study as a student. Also great if just wanna chill and hangout with friends. The menu selection for a midday pick me up is wonderful, even if you’re looking for a full meal or simple pastry. All of their food is fresh and looks amazing! The coffee is delicious and there is variety with lattes. My sister and I got more unusual flavors, her ordering orange and rosemary for myself and they did not disappoint!! The staff were amazing and all were incredibly sweet and complimentary. Will definitely be back, especially if they’re open and I’m just shopping at Scratch, I’ll for sure swing by!

The new permanent location is lovely, opened May 2023. The inside is chic and relaxing. The shop is connected to a refillable soap store and Scratch pasta. There is plenty of parking. The service is still just as good, but there are more employees. I purchased a cup of coffee, two treats for friends, and black currant & cream scone. The scone had a muffin crumb instead of scone, but it was very good. Open 10-6 most days.
8/2023 update: the shop is still as busy as ever. But the chocolate croissants has less filling than when the store was small. The currant scones are still good and they offer more sandwiches for a quick lunch.
