I live two hours away and refuse to get my children’s birthday cakes anywhere but The Flour Child. The cake itself is amazing, but what blows me away the most is the creativity and artistry that goes into designing each cake. I love giving Alixe and her team a vibe and letting them work their magic to see what they come up with. For my son’s 1st birthday the theme was Born to One, a Bruce Springsteen birthday bash (classic 1st bday theme, of course). Alixe and team delivered a tie dye birthday cake, with Bruce painted on and lyrics all around the side, with a matching vinyl record smash cake. It was a hit! Most recently our Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cake was the talk of the entire party. I love everything about The Flour Child. You should get a cake for every occasion here!

The Flour Child was an extremely accommodating, affordable, and high quality choice for our wedding cake. I’d definitely recommend them for any special occasion. Even their simple white/vanilla cake exceeded expectations. We recently went back for our first anniversary and they created a mini replica of our wedding cake at no cost to us. Alixe and her staff have done several of our event cakes over the last few years and we wouldn’t go ANYWHERE else. The flavors are sooo good, and the designs are sooooo good! She did our bridal shower flower cupcakes and watercolor teal and gold wedding cake and several party/event cakes! The trash cakes are seriously the best and the advent cakes at Christmas are a little present to yourself and highly recommended!

The Flour Child NEVER fails to deliver. Their cakes are not only DELICIOUS but perfectly decorated. The girls working there are so friendly, and we love making them a part of every celebration in our home. We have sent them photos which they have matched, descriptions which they have nailed and so on! We highly recommend trying them out – but book ahead! AMAZING! My husband and I ordered a special request of a dill pickle wedding cake with peanut butter frosting and Alixe was not only willing to try it, but was excited to make it perfect for us.
