One of the best local spots! Wide range of things to order, nice atmosphere and great service. I’ve ordered most of the menu, and everything has been so good. My personal favorite is the Biscuits and Belly. The pork belly will melt in your mouth, and the sauces are all unique and delicious. Definitely get some cornbread, too, and finish it off with a Kentucky Derby slice! Pictures I had are of a recent take out order, and they were just as good as eating in!

We chose The Floridian for our one meal in St. Augustine (at the end of July) based on the glowing review from a friend. Despite the charming aesthetic and quiet (nearly empty) dining room sadly our experience was disappointing. We ordered the Biscuits & Belly and were served biscuits that were overly dense because they had clearly not risen properly. Our cheeseburger was delicious but arrived missing the cheese. Both issues could be easily overlooked because mistakes happen, but our overall experience was tainted by our server who was clearly annoyed with us from the start and insisted the biscuits were made properly and that our burger did have cheese on it (strange choice). In the end she comped the biscuits and the cheese which was appreciated but future diners beware: check your food to ensure it was prepared properly.

Great food and server, but disappointing reservation handling and missed opportunity on a special occasion

We had a reservation at The Floridian and arrived 10 minutes early. Despite checking in promptly, we weren’t seated until over 20 minutes past our reservation time—30 minutes after check-in—with no communication or update from the host stand.

To make matters worse, a party of four and a party of thirteen, both with the same reservation time and who arrived after us, were seated before us. No explanation was given. It felt like our reservation—and our time—weren’t given any consideration.

When we booked the reservation, we were prompted to indicate if we were celebrating a special occasion. We noted that it was our anniversary, hoping that would add a nice personal touch to our evening. Unfortunately, there was no acknowledgment from the host stand, and no gesture or effort from the restaurant as a whole.

Our server, however, was excellent. When we mentioned it was our anniversary, she warmly wished us a happy anniversary right away. She was knowledgeable, kind, and attentive throughout the meal—an absolute bright spot in the experience. This review is in no way a reflection of her service.

The food was also a highlight: the brisket posole was phenomenal, and the meatloaf was quite good. We left satisfied with the food and truly appreciated our server’s professionalism.

Still, on what should’ve been a special and memorable night, we left feeling overlooked. A simple gesture—a dessert, a note, or just a little acknowledgment—would have gone a long way. Especially since the system prompted us to share that we were celebrating, it was disappointing to see no follow-through.

Great food and service—but the front-of-house experience and guest communication need work, particularly when it comes to honoring reservations and occasion-based bookings.

Great place for lunch! My husband had the Shrimp Po Boy. A good amount of fried shrimp, remoulade sauce and a nice portion of side salad. He loved the sauce! My friend got the citrus beet salad – lots of chicken! She really liked the dressing. I got the Florida Sunshine salad – perfect combination of flavors – beets, pecans, strawberries, sweet potatoes, honey and blue cheese. The Rosemary Dijon vinaigrette was much better than I expected. Excellent. The service was great!

I’ve been to St. Augustine before, but never dined at this place until now. We just arrived in town today & were looking for a nice spot for dinner when we stumbled upon this cute, cozy & surprisingly spacious restaurant. They offer a great variety of options for everyone—meat eaters, vegans & vegetarians alike.

As a vegetarian, it’s not always easy to find a good place to eat, but both my boyfriend & I were genuinely impressed. This place is a solid 10/10! The food, service, ambiance & drinks were all top-notch.

As someone who doesn’t drink, I had one of the best non-alcoholic beverages I’ve ever tasted. I ordered a curry with tofu & it was an absolutely incredible food experience. My boyfriend had a meat plate that he loved & he was also really impressed with their beer selection. We also got a dip appetizer which was very delicious.

Overall, an amazing experience—we’ve already decided this will be our go-to spot whenever we’re in town!

Adorable restaurant in an old house with a large outdoor patio. We tried the pickled shrimp – so different and way worth. My salad was spot on with the blackened market catch of the day (sheepshead – sounds gross but tastes better than flounder) and my partner got a great pork chop. We skipped dessert this time but they had 4-5 fresh baked choices that all looked great.

I visited The Floridian in St. Augustine with three friends, and we all had such a great experience! Every meal we ordered had its own unique flavor — each dish tasted different in the best way, and everything was delicious. You can tell they put care into the ingredients and preparation. I felt really good after the meal, both satisfied and impressed. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and it’s a perfect place to enjoy a relaxed, flavorful meal with friends. Highly recommended!

Came across this place by accident. There was a giant selection of gluten free food and vegetarian. I was not a fan of the veggie burger but that was a personal preference. The homemade chips were delicious! The staff was super friendly. It was very clean and seating inside.

Nice little place and amazing food. It has vegan and dairy free options for anyone who needs those options. We went on the weekend, so a little busy. But that didn’t slow them down for getting our food out to us in a timely manner. Wonderful, friendly staff. Highly recommend if you like to try different twists on some yummy food.

The Floridian is a nice stop for dinner. I wasn’t overly impressed with the food, but it is a very nice place. Both the patio area and inside dining area are very nice. We tried the Biscuits and Belly, which was a good start. I ended up going with the ‘N Waffles for dinner and I wasn’t overly impressed. My wife went with The Pop Special and enjoyed it. Maybe it’s hit or miss, will find out next time we stop by!
