Last night, I had a very poor experience here. I was with a group of 7, and one of my friends was going to the bar to get a drink. One of the customers started getting very aggressive and loud toward my friend, and it seemed like he was getting ready to start a fight. Security came in to the one man screaming and my friend confused. They ended up kicking my friend out for doing nothing and forcing him to take the service stairs out. When my friend was trying to ask why he was being removed and that he did nothing wrong, the security team was very rude to him saying, “Dude, I don’t care. Get out.”
Obviously that’s bad enough in its own right. But the thing that really bugs me is the fact that the bar is creating an environment encouraging dangerous and aggressive patrons. The bar would rather keep customers that want to start fights than people minding their own business. I’ve gone to the Flats a few times, but my trust with them to have a safe place to have fun has been completely broken. The 7 of us all left after my friend was kicked out and do not plan on returning. For your own safety, I would not recommend coming here.

this building needs an inspection! dancing last night upstairs and it really felt like the floor could cave at any moment. kind of scary.

I’ve always enjoyed this bar and the atmosphere, but we need to do better. The amount of women who have been drugged here is awful. I understand that the staff may not be able to see everything all the time. However, if someone is falling down flights of steps, falling out of their seat, cant make coherent sentences, etc. more action should be done than just escorting them out. They could be having a medical emergency and they clearly cannot defend themselves in that state. Better procedures need to be put in place. Stop worrying about what kind of trouble your establishment could get in and worry more about protecting these women.

I hate leaving reviews to start. I’m a alcoholic I can drink a lot before blacking out. I had one shot one long island and completely forgot everything and I didn’t drink all day prior to this because I was at work and my girl wanted to go dancing. I’m pretty sure we both got drugged. She can’t remember anything either. But she vaguely remember whispering in her ears they don’t want her bf here

Busy on Fridays and Saturdays. Dance floor upstairs. PACKED! Sundays it’s only open downstairs and you can’t move. Don’t wear anything you don’t want a drink spilled on. Overall though it’s a great atmosphere and really fun. Cheap drinks as well!

Hello, I want to write a few things here. It bothered me a lot. I hope I don’t want anyone else to go through the same thing. I always used to pay in cash. Towards the end of this evening, I ran out of money and I made a purchase from my credit card. I wanted a whiskey and cola mix and he charged me $370 for a glass. We talked to him. I’m not drunk, I asked him why did you withdraw such money, he said, “You made a bet” and that’s ridiculous, I’m not rich enough to bet $365 on a $5 drink glass, I hope no one else experiences the same thing, warn your waiters, they are stealing.

You get 1 star because I cannot give you less. Severely unimpressed. My wife and I stopped in not long ago during off peak hours. The staff was pretentious at best and just ignorant and rude at worst. The drinks were not well made and expensive. The food was highly disappointing. The entire time we were there we felt like we were intruding on something even though there were only a few people in the restaurant at the time. I asked about a beer they had on tap that I had never heard of and the bartender completely dismissed me. (I really think he had no idea about it either). It’s a shame because the premise behind the bar is great. Poor execution. I have heard people rave about this place, but I must say that the emperor has no clothes.

Was a good time, packed to capacity and the people were all upbeat. I had no problem ordering drinks despite the number of patrons. The only thing I did not like was the upper floor shook quite a bit with all of the people dancing. It felt like I was taking a ride on the Tacoma Narrows Bridge.

My favorite place on the southside! Been going here 5 years since it’s been open. Mixed crowd (all races all ages), music is ALWAYS good. Best bartenders, super quick strong drinks! Everyone who goes here is like family. Consistently packed. Always a good time!
