I drove over an hour to try this gem out and it was well worth it. Personally, I had the breakfast quesadilla with a turkey sausage and the mushroom chicken tortellini soup, both were on their special of the day board. The flavors were amazing. I took my mother and my daughter who both said their food was delicious. I love the atmosphere and old-fashioned decor as well as the music, It’s such a nostalgic vibe. Our server, Milton was very friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable of the menu. Prices are more than reasonable. Everything including the bathroom were exceptionally clean. I see why every table was filled during our visit and to go orders were flying out the door. We even left with milkshakes and will be a frequent diner.

Cute little diner tucked in behind the corner of Great Mills Rd and Rte 235. 50s themed, including the decor, music and even the poodle skirt the waitresses wear! Menu is not big or fancy but food is good and very well priced. We’ll be back now that we know where it is!

Greeted the second we walked in the door and seated promptly, loved the 50’s diner look and red booths! The atmosphere here is very warming and you feel very welcomed by the family who owns and operates the joint. They are very personable and make you feel right at home. The food here is the best in town!! I haven’t had a better meal anywhere in town. Big portions and willing to accommodate. My bf and I both got the banana split and don’t care for chocolate ice cream so the server asked us if we’d like to switch that flavor we chose salted caramel. Very inexpensive and affordable! The kids fell in love with this place and loved all the decorations for Halloween as well as the food and frosted mugs of root beer. Would highly recommend checking this place out. The Reuben was the best I ever had!! & my bf loved the tuna melt!! Desserts were amazing too as my youngest couldn’t wait to try the pb frosted chocolate cake and oldest the vanilla sundae. Loved hearing the stories from the family how this place came about and how they brought their upstate NY inspired cooking to their diner!

I had a great experience at The Flashback Grill and Diner in Lexington Park, MD. The food was excellent — I ordered the cheesesteak sub, and it was really good, full of flavor and cooked just right. For dessert, I had the banana split, and it was the perfect way to top off the meal.

What really stood out was the service. The owner personally came out to check on me and the other guests, making sure we were okay and asking if we needed anything. That level of hospitality made the experience even better.

Overall, everything was very nice — great food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I’d definitely recommend The Flashback Grill and Diner to anyone in the area or just passing through.

I am new to the city and wanted to try some local restaurants. Decided to give this little restaurant in the cut a try. I was riding by one day and I saw the sign and decided to stop by on my lunch. It was lunchtime and it was kind of packed. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, and I sat at the bar. I decided to get the cheese and bacon fries and also the chicken bacon ranch sandwich. The service was great and the food came quickly. They were busy in there so I was actually surprised when they brought the food. The fries were crispy and tasted good alone. The cheese and bacon only added more flavor to the fries. I would recommend the bacon and cheese fries to anyone. Now onto the chicken bacon ranch sandwich. I have had a lot of chicken bacon ranch sandwiches in my life from various places, but this one is easily top three. The type of chicken that they used was different than any other chicken that I had before, it tasted as if it was a rotisserie style chicken that they had chopped up to use as the meat. I could be wrong, I don’t know, I just know it was amazing. I do not know if you can tell from the pictures, but that is piled high. I was not even able to close the sandwich. I had to get a fork and eat out of the middle like a salad, just to be able to eventually close the sandwich and eat it regularly. Overall, the food was great. I will definitely be eating there again in the near future. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was very diner-ish, in a good way. There was plenty of seating and space. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

We just moved to the area and my husband suggested we try to find a mom/pop restaurant to try. This is the first one that came up. We absolutely loved the whole experience! The restaurant is clean, service was outstanding, food was fresh and delicious! We sang along with all the oldies that were playing. They won my heart with their corn nuggets. I haven’t seen those since I visited Texas years ago. I really enjoyed reading the unique names of all the different dishes. We figured out the restaurant was family owned and operated. They all came out and introduced themselves and we had a great conversation. This likely will be our new spot

Went again today July 5th. I ordered a ham, turkey, bacon club sandwich. Oh my! It was LAYERED with awesomeness!

First time ever going yesterday and the food was really good. Owner was really nice and the chef was great. Had the French toast meal. Toast was tasty and warm. They give you lots of scrambled eggs. And I was given a banana pudding pie that tasted so good that my mom ate all of it lol. Will be back. People please check them out.

Second visit here. Our party thoroughly enjoyed our first visit so we are repeat customers. We sat at the bar, again, and received excellent service. We met some folks who are regulars there, had great conversation with several waitstaff, customers, as well as the owners/cooks, and enjoyed the friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Our home cooked breakfast meals were delicious and filling. You will definitely not walk away hungry. Their waffles taste like funnel cake. Ummmm. Yep. Throughout the week, there are various desserts that are not on the menu…Specials. If luck is on your side, you will get to taste THE carrot cake. We will return!
