I had a full meal with fried catfish, cajun fries, hushpuppies, coleslaw and BBQ beans.
The fish was fried very, very well and tasted good, and fries were fine as well. I personally didn’t enjoyed the hushpuppies and the beans, but I also get that I, being italian, might be used to a different kind of taste. What I really didn’t liked was the coleslaw, too rich in (I think) garlic or onion.
One pro is that the food, although being fried, was quite light to digest!
Anyway, I had a good time over here, service was also very kind.
Home is the sizzle of pig ribs slow and deep,
Sweet smoke curling where my memories sleep.
A kitchen warm with a familiar hum,
Where hunger and comfort together come.
I love the way fish flakes gentle and bright,
Silver and tender, cooked just right.
From river or sea to my waiting plate,
Each bite feels like home, no need to wait.
Pig ribs sticky with sauce and care,
Falling apart like love lives there.
Grease-stained napkins, laughter loud,
A simple joy I say out loud.
Home isn’t walls or a street I know,
It’s the taste of food that makes me slow—
Fish and pig ribs, honest and true,
Home is the love I feel in you.
Stop in and try it!
The sandwich comes with French Fries, and premium sides are available for a two-dollar upcharge. I wanted to have the included fries along with an extra side of Mac n Cheese. However, on the receipt, I noticed that I was charged $2.00 for the fries and another $2.00 for the Mac n Cheese. This seemed odd to me because the fries were supposed to be included, while the Mac n Cheese, as an additional side, should have cost $3.79.
When I brought this to the attention of our server, there was some confusion. Despite my explanation, the server insisted that I was mistaken. Even after the receipt was corrected, the server continued to defend the decision to charge $2.00 for each item rather than the regular price of $3.79 for the Mac n Cheese alone. It was frustrating because the fries were supposed to be included, and there shouldn’t have been an extra charge for them. The server even claimed that she was trying to save me money by not charging the full price for the Mac n Cheese.
In the end, I gave up trying to explain, but it was disappointing that the server remained convinced that she was right, even though the evidence suggested otherwise.
