This place knows how to cook a delicious meal and always give you your money’s worth! I’ve been visiting here for at least 12 years and it has never let me down one time! The gyros are the best in the city and the catfish is flawless. Highly recommend. Not the classiest established, but they know what they are good at and always deliver. I recently visited with my family and was impressed with the amount of food that you get per plate. When you work hard for your money it’s good to know of a place that you can go to and not feel like you’re getting robbed.

Excellent, inexpensive food… literally a hidden treasure. Check out the menu online and do not hesitate to visit… really good food.
GOOD: The food is great and the menu is quite diverse. The fried green tomatoes are good and I believe they have the best friend shrimp ever.
BAD: Not much. It’s kind of a hidden gem which might be bad for them… most will drive by and not even know the place exists. It needs some curb appeal.
CAUTIONS: While the main entrees and other items are fantastic, I consider the side items to be a bit lacking in terms of selection, taste, and freshness. You will have trouble if you try to balance a fried item with side items that are a bit healthier.

First time eating here after it being suggested to me over a million times. I’m an idiot for waiting so long but I’m glad I finally get to put a rating to this amazing place. The food? FLAWLESS The service? FLAWLESS. I’ve NEVER had sweet tea this amazing in my life. The woman at the counter was super friendly with a positive smile and helpful with making our order decisions. The tarter sauce is even amazing. I can’t wait to return. Keep it up!

We loved it! I had crab cake and the fish and it was excellent. Their fish is the best! My son normally doesn’t like hush puppies but he ate 4 of them along with his claim chowder. Great food and super friendly staff

We drove by on a busy shopping day and we didn’t want to wait at any of the chain restaurants by the mall. So we popped in to check out the menu. The owner was very friendly and the food was delicious. The gyros are huge! We enjoyed the hush puppies and the crap cakes. We would definitely recommend and will come back!

I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious my fish dinner was. I would have never came here if it wasn’t for a Groupon purchase, but I’m glad I did because it was good! Honestly, it looks super sketchy from the outside and it’s not super beautiful on the inside so that’s why I didn’t give it 5 stars, but it was clean and we got our food fast and hot.

For what this place is it is 5 stars. Do not expect a 5 star restaurant but it is a nice little cafe style place, walk up to counter and order food, they bring it out. I got their lunch special fish and chips which i was told is “snowfish”. This was delicious. The fish was thin which they explained when I ordered but it was fried just right and had a great flavor. Their fries with it remind me up a much higher quality version of arby’s fries seasoning type but not curly. All in all a great local type place to grab a bite and a beer if you want one. The lady who assisted me was great, very informative and nice, had multiple people ask to make sure all was good!
Will be back for sure next time I’m in louisville outer loop. Give it try If you like fish, you will not regret it.

We ordered 2 fish sandwiches, fries and slaw over $19.00 to go. The person we talked to said their scrod was better than the whitefish but I had had the whitefish before without problem. We ordered whitefish. When we was driving home we both smelled an odor like it was spoiled . Got home , started putting onto plates and as soon as I cut into it , the fish was slimy. It had a weird taste. Looked brown. I think it was very old. We immediately called spoke to Carol and she said that we should have ordered the scrod? Why sell something you don’t believe is good to your customers. I told her I would bring it back and happily pay for the fries and slaw we had for supper and she said she would have the owner call us . He would make things right. Well the smell made me sick to my stomach and one bite of it was disgusting . The owner called and basically said you should have ordered scrod WTH? Take the NASTY whitefish off the menu! He said that we could not pay just for fries and come in sometime and he will take care of us…..well that will not happen! Terrible terrible service and FOOD !!!!
