Definitely worth the trip! We walked from the cruise ship terminal & enjoyed the views. The restaurant is small & it was busy with an hour wait. The halibut tacos are excellent & were worth the wait! Highly recommend but go early or be ready to wait.

Honestly, this was some of the best food we enjoyed on our Alaska trip. The salmon taco and the beer battered halibut were amazing. It was an hour wait for the food but it was TOTALLY worth it. We went on a whale watching trip with a guide around the corner- get to your excursion early, eat at the Fisherman’s Daughter, then go on your tour. It makes for an amazing day.

If you’re here on a cruise, and you probably are, Hoonah takes some getting to. However, after a few days of buffet eggs and limp bacon on the boat, this place was phenomenal. The waffle was excellent, light and crisp and served with plenty of butter. The skillet was very good, smokey bacon and nice chunky peppers! Very cute little place and the staff was lovely. If you’re about to hare off into the wilderness or out to sea, I would definitely recommend stopping by to fortify yourself.

Great coffee and breakfast sandwiches. Off the cruise ship and wanted a real East Coast breakfast. Sausage, Fried Egg and Cheese on a bun or croissant… we chose a bun and American and Pepper Jack cheese. Very good n hot. Coffee was great. Beautiful vistas all around. If you’re coming off a cruise ship and into Hoonah… a must stop.

Off the beaten path, but worth the trip! 2 miles from the Icy Point Strait cruise ship port, in the town of Hoonah. I had the salmon taco, and it was huge and delicious. Friendly service, though the crowd made it a little slow, it was definitely worth the wait!

The halibut tacos and fries were delicious, however, they originally messed up my order and gave me pork tacos even though I clearly ordered the halibut tacos. Other than that, it was a good restaurant to eat at in such a small town.

You can walk from the boat or take a shuttle into Hoonah from the cruise port to find this treasure. Don’t miss Fisherman’s Daughter! I had the salmon taco and potato salad. My brother had salmon bites with fries and bacon mac and cheese balls. We both had ginger arnold palmers. It was all amazing! The salmon taco was to die for. Do not miss out on this yummy place! The walk is almost all concrete, with benches, trashcans, and even nice clean restrooms. Hoonah went all out to make this a nice stop.

Seriously good grub. We came in on a cruise and we’re told to here by a local. He did not lead us astray! The fried halibut was unbelievable buttery with a fantastic dipping sauce.
