The very best fish and chips in Exeter, and the best I’ve had anywhere. The fish was soft and juicy and the chios were amazing. Tasted like fish and chips used to. Very good price too. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Absolutely disgusting customer service! A couple own it! The husband is always present but his wife the Asian lady is so rude! Absolutely no customer service doesn’t say please or thank you just threw my change at me and the chips were so beyond stingy 39 chips for a regular portion just outrageous and the oil they are fried in tastes and smells rank you can smell it all the way from exe bridges! Terrible chips and terrible unwelcoming customer service!

Proper old school fish and chip shop with a small no frills menu. Great value for money, lovely cod and chips, all hot and fresh. Cash only but they do accept bank transfers which is handy.

I love this place. Fish supper shop. I always get the same quality standard of food. Crispy batter perfectly cooked fish and the chips chunky ones and small ones and everything in between all cooked in beef dripping. Not your run-of-the-mill fish & chips here. The unique taste of the fish and chips cooked in beef fat, is a great change from the ordinary. The cod was flawless with an extremely light & crispy but flavoursome batter – all piping hot straight from the fryer. Finished off very quickly! Nice to see the authentic period building still kept in good use.

Been going there for years and never had a bad thing to say about the place.
The owner is friendly and the place is always clean.
The portion size is great as well, a large portion of chips easily feeds me and my son and the batter on the fish is fluffy and not to greasy like other chip shops I’ve been to.
My only complaint is not enough salt and viniger on my food, but thats just down to personal preference.
Over all I rate them 5* and would recommend them anyone wanting a quick and tasty meal.

This is an excellent fish and chip shop. Generally, other chip shops around Exeter tend to disappoint on either the fish or the chips but this one does not. The fish was succulent and the batter has that perfect crunch while the chips are fluffy and crispy at the same time. It was also pleasantly low cost. Not the best I’ve ever had but certainly the best I’ve had in the city. Cash only.
