Great ambiance and extremely courteous and helpful.
Totally amazing food.
I did try the Salmon burger and combo fish and chips.
Especially the fish and chips were superbly made… The batter and fresh fish is the perfect fish and chips ever!
I will definitely recommend this place for any seafood lovers here in the bay area…

I am so upset the property was sold and it is closing!!!
The food was excellent! Our waitress was excellent!
The place is going to be demolished. Probably going to be high density housing. There are only 2 restaurants left, both in southern California.

The Fish Market Restaurant in Palo Alto is definitely a nice fish restaurant with plenty of places for eating, a number of places in the bar, and a counter selling fish.
In the restaurant (and the bar) the menu is naturally dominated by fish dishes. There is also a selection of good wines.
It is also possible to order from the menu in the bar. In the bar, they also have happy hour with lower prices on some dishes and drinks til 6 o clock.
We were very happy with our visit and we will be back!

It could be that I had set my hopes too high. A place that’s been around THIS long, in THIS area???
The crab and shrimp roll was on point!
The calamari, was above average, but packed any “wow” factor either in seasoning, sauce, or that OMG breading texture that we crave in ‘good’ fried food.

Very dependable seafood restaurant. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals (Poke ahi bowl, gatlic scampi over linguine, calamari steak, and petrale sole). Service was great, as are the Bourdain Bakery sourdough rolls, and all servers are masked, and tables are very well spaced (maximal occupancy is 50% (75 people).
Started with Cesaer salads, split a snickerdoodle for dessert. $72/couple, very reasonable for a delicious, leisurely dinner.

I am glad this place is back in full strength. Good food and good services remains here. With high inflation, I am impressed that they still offer generous portion. Will come back soon.

I am heartbroken and saddened that this amazing restaurant in multiple locations or overall are going to be closing. . I have been working on restoring my relationship with a love of my life I’m happen to have been there on July 30th. On the love of my life’s mother’s birthday. From beginning to end everything was amazing and perfect as usual when we go to the fish or any fish market. I wish there was a way to keep this amazing restaurant open.
