What a fantastic experience we had at The Fish Dock Bar & Grill this Easter Friday! As soon as we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Savannah, who noticed us first and kindly informed us about their pet-friendly outdoor area. It was a hot day, and she made sure our dog was comfortable by serving him cold water right away—such a thoughtful gesture that meant a lot to us.
Savannah quickly took our food order, and the service was truly impressive from the start. We didn’t wait long before our food was out, and it was absolutely delicious! We ordered a seafood platter and a whole flounder—and wow, the flounder was big and perfectly cooked.
Huge shoutout to Megan, who also took great care of us, and Chef Ricky, the mastermind behind the incredible flavors. The quality of food and the warm, friendly service made this a perfect stop during our Jekyll Island visit.
Everything was awesome. Highly recommend this place—great vibe, great people, and great food!

Super cool hidden spot. The waitress was amazing and attentive. Food was okay, not bad, but overpriced! It took 40 min to come out with 5 other people there. In my opinion the clams were not the best, but the shrimp bites were good.

I’m writing this primarily for management. It’s cool that the restaurant has been here for so long and is out in the middle of nowhere. However, The experience for us wasn’t that great. Every single food item we ordered was over cooked. everything from fried food to the bread to oysters. Never in my life have I seen steamed oysters completely dried out. To be fair, Staff was very nice, and replaced those oysters, but it was clear whoever was in the kitchen wasn’t paying attention. hopefully this is just a fluke experience for whoever was cooking that night but man how do you over cook every type of food. we still paid full price for everything and given that it’s relatively premium pricing, that made the food extra disappointing. The other main complaint was that for being mostly a sitdown restaurant. In my party’s opinion, the live band was very loud and made it hard to talk to those at our table, even though we were one of the farthest tables away. no one was paying attention to the band and rightfully so because generally speaking most of the people there are there for a nice seafood experience and to talk to whoever’s in their party. I’d recommend instead either severely turning down the volume and not have the singer playing songs with very loud vocals, or just switch to music playing softly in the background on speakers. I want to try this place again some day, but definitely going to have to let some time go by based on this.

What a hidden gem! We saw the billboard on Route 95 and made the adventure to this amazing bar and grill. The fish is caught by the owner and cooked to perfection! We had Mahi Mahi and Wreck fish tonight! The vegetables are done perfectly and seasoned to perfection. We finished off with some blueberry cobbler. The atmosphere is great and the views are breathtaking! Great food, great service! Make the trek to this hidden gem!

We tried out The Fish Dock this past weekend as we have heard about it and are local to the area. There was no wait time for a table on Friday night which is a huge plus and the views are wonderful! We had the hushpuppies for an appetizer and they were good (although maybe a little too greasy) and the sauce was very tasty. Wish they were a side with your meals. My husband had the fried shrimp and fries and I had the shrimp and grits. The shrimp were huge and tasted very good, the fries were cold. The shrimp and grits were tasty and came with garlic bread (would have preferred hushpuppies). Our one issue was the wait time for our food – it took so long and they were not overrun with guests. Our server Madison B. was great and checked in on us several times and checked on our food order as well.

Great out of the way fish camp. Sits right on the Sapelo River. Good food and the collard greens might be the best I ever had.

We dined here for Mother’s Day with family, and this restaurant is a hidden gem in GA. The restaurant is tucked away; however, it is one of the best places I have ever eaten fresh seafood from. The food was seasoned with a good balance, not too salty or too bland, everything was cooked to perfection. The portion sizes exceeded my expectations, and a take home box was needed for most of us. The service was amazing. The waitresses were personable, attentive, and humorous. We all connected and complimented them on their stellar service. The restaurant is clean, spacious, we sat inside and experienced a tranquil atmosphere while dining on the waterfront. The bathrooms were clean. There is also an upstairs area to dine. If you are a seafood lover, and seeking a quiet, clean, friendly, and tasty place to eat, give this restaurant a try. It’s a hidden gem in GA. We plan to return.

Food, service, atmosphere, were fantastic. The only thing I would change is, in my opinion, the baked potato was a lil over cooked, cause I like a potato where I am able to eat the so called skin, but it was a lil tough to eat. But over all the flavor and taste of the food was amazing and plan to come back.

The Fish Dock has been a favorite of ours for years. Had the pleasure of dining there last night. Everything was as delicious as always – fried shrimp, Crab Stew (full of crab), and Sapelo Clams. Servers and management are always super friendly and the views hard to beat. If you are in the area, treat yourself to this wonderful, authentic coastal restaurant!
