This has to be the best BBQ in Bismarck and one of the best I have had. I did go for something non-traditional and ordered the steak tacos. My daughter and her boyfriend both ordered the pork belly burger(precious experience). Both were amazing. I had one bite of hers and it the beef was very good and the combination of flavors for her sandwich was great. The tacos had a great balance of flavors. I loved the diced jalepeños gave a nice low level of heat with the right amount of green savory flavor. The fried corn tortillas added extra crisp to the taco that made it amazing. We got there too late for me to have the St Louis style ribs, but someone in the booth next to me had them and we made eye contact as he bit into what should have been my rib… I heard him tell his table that this was one of the best ribs he had ever had… will be returning when I come back to visit. There was a wait. We got there at 5:30 and didn’t eat until after 6 – but that allowed us time to talk.

Had heard good things but was far from it…Sandwich was incredibly greasy (Darrels cheesesteak)-basically hamburger meat with cheese sauce, bun was completely soaked in grease. Smash burger, came with a whopping 11 tater tots. They had no Brisket. Mac and cheese was a bowl of mush.
But the biggest flaw was service- there weren’t many other tables, looked like most were done eating. Our server was slow to take order, then came back and said the order was lost, so we reordered our food and it was brought (much later) by another person then nothing. No check back by anyone, needed refills but just asked the first person I saw for our check, paid and left.
Won’t be back!

My husband and I ate here for the first time, we will definitely be back!
The food was amazing is an understatement.
I had the 2-meat platter with brisket and sausage, potato salad and coleslaw – everything was SO good.
My husband had the burnt end pizza, WOW! The Detroit style pizza was layered with all kinds of flavors that married so very well together. Even the next day leftover were great! Probably the best pizza in Bismarck! ❤️
The owner came and checked on us, he was great and fun to chat with.
The reason for the 3 stars is because our server forgot to put in our order for appetizer egg rolls and then he seemed to be more interested in his dinner than serving his only table. It took 10+ minutes after we got our to-go boxes to get our check, we finally had to ask the other server for our check.
Overall, we’ll be back, the food was outstanding!
PS I never remember to take pictures of my food before I start eating. The plater had much more meat on it originally.

We had high hopes for a great meal due to the reviews being so great, but unfortunately when we were ordering they were out of 5 popular menu items that drew us to this spot. We definitely would have liked a heads up to missing menu items prior to seating, because the very long wait time was not worth the food quality. We picked the pork belly tacos and they tasted excessively greasy and could not finish. The pulled pork was ok, but I would not recommend. The wings were not great, and the mac and cheese was more soup consistency and was not appetizing. The only thing that got us through the meal were the fries to be honest. By the time we finished our meal we were all not impressed especially for the menu prices and the very long wait time. Honestly do not recommend if you are in Bismarck.

Great food. We came for a trip tip special, but they ran out just before we ordered. We each got 2 meat, and got each of the 4 meats all together. All were great. Doneness, moisture, smoke, flavor and sauce all very good. The 2 meat platter was enough for me, and a bit more than my wife wanted. The desserts sound tempting, but we will have to leave that for another time.

THE BEST BBQ you can get around here! Darrell is always coming up with new fun items to add to his menus, or does a day or so each during the week for certain menu’s/specials, along with all his amazing regular menus! Ribs, wings, and pork are all soooo amazing! I really enjoy their nachos & pizza too!

The staff was very friendly, but the gentleman taking orders, didn’t really listen and double charged us for the rolls, we ended up getting a second one although it was a tiny bit dry. The brunch meal was very good, the biscuit and brisket was excellent. The brisket was extremely flavorful and so is the gravy it came with. The hash was also excellent. We also enjoyed the pineapple lemonade. I would definitely stop here again, although I’d like to try the regular menu. Also, the TVs were up pretty loud, so it was hard to talk to the person across the table.
I would definitely recommend stopping here if you’d like barbecue, and you are in town! I can’t wait to visit again.

The food was incredible. The waitress was even nice enough to let us order off menu so we could try a sampling of the different BBQ options. This place was popular and busy, but they do have a secondary seating area inside through a hall. They even have slot machines and pull tabs. The food was great, they were busy causing the service to be a little slow.

I don’t normally like cornbread, but theirs is irresistible; I can’t get enough. They have so many great food options; I seem to get the rib tips every time because they are the best. Their sausage and rib meat options are great. Their tater tots and mac & cheese are great sides. Atmosphere is great, service is great, food is best.

I cannot express how much this restaurant impressed me! The food is fantastic! Hands down…no debate….undisputed…Best BBQ in the Bismarck/Mandan area! I would have to say I have ever had as well and I’ve hit the hot spots in TX. I mean damn…most places have one, 2 good items, and fall short on the rest. Especially the sausage, sausage is generally a disappointment but not here! The sausage is fantastic on its own! It was jaw-dropping! Everyone of the meats are fantastic and do not need sauce, so BBQ purists would be very pleased, but with sauce, it will satisfy everyone. I cannot express how impressed I was! Also the portions are huge!! This is my BBQ spot from now on.
