We have lived nearby for a while and so happy we finally checked this place out. The service was friendly – the place smelled amazing – and it’s pretty cool to be able to see your food being made on the fire. We went on a Wednesday and they had great $5 drink options. Everything we had was delicious, for sure going to go back to try the rest of the menu.

I got the Pittsburgh steak and fries…. The best part of the meal was the fries, my steak sandwich could have been seasoned, and I never got the cup of tea I ordered… the 2 young ladies at the front counter were nice

We are from our of State and thought the menu looked great on Google. It was amazing! Waitress was good. The atmosphere was a good, fun vibe. My husband and I sat at the bar and watched them grill food. That was cool. Everything the chefs made looked amazing❣️I had 2 drinks. He had tea since he was driving. Bill was $38 plus our tip. It’s not too bad on price, I thought

Pros: great food for a great price; it’s hard to beat the quality for the price here and we enjoyed almost everything we had. The daily deals are great. The wood grill adds a great flavor that not a lot of places do (or if they do, it’s expensive). The amount of light in the place is also great, huge windows on all sides just makes for a nice atmosphere — if you can’t sit outside on the patio, you can still at least feel like you’re outside. It’s also nice to see the wood grill in operation — just adds to the experience. We also had a great server.
Cons: I really love the decor/layout of the place (see above) but I gave it a 3/5 on atmosphere because of the loudness of the interior. I think it’s the fans in the middle that add such a loud background noise… some sound absorbing would help. I would sit outside in nice weather for this reason alone. Additionally, the fries were a little inconsistent (nothing crazy).
My wife and I have been here several times and will go again — just a solid, unique restaurant with lots to love at a reasonable price.

The food and the service was excellent. They serve very generous portions and they have a very unique mix of favors in their dishes. The crab hushpuppies are delicious and topped wonderfully with a sweet and savory finish. The Nachos can easily serve a party of 5 and the burgers are perfectly cooked. If you want to have a hometown favorite, their cheesecake is huge and it is satisfying. They also specialize in drinks and a variety of beers. I highly recommend this restaurant. I can appreciate their efforts during this pandemic by ensuring that all tables are distanced apart and their patrons are safe.

Wings and the burger with fresh cut fries was AMAZING. Service was a little slow but she was nice. It was a little drafty and kinda cold. The cheese cake was bland but the other food was great. I also had a merlot that was good.

Service was quick and we sat right down, having an Open Table reservation. The food was pretty good. We had the nachos with shredded chicken but the cheese was cold. The goat cheese and spinach salad (I subbed mixed greens) was delicious. I also got the shrimp on top with balsamic dressing. My fiancé got the Philly cheese steak and he thought it was pretty good. Service was phenomenal. I would recommend.

Some of the best food I think I’ve had in Pittsburgh! Everything was so flavorful and the wings were cooked perfectly with a lot of delicious sauces to choose from, fries were the best! Our server was also great and very kind and all around this was definitely just a 5 star experience, both inside and outside seatings are very nice and cozy as well. Can’t recommend enough

Fireside is the most underrated restaurant in the east end! The food is amazing and their beverage selection is solid. Their burgers are amazing (especially on $10 burger night), the wood fired wings are fantastic, and don’t even get me started on the Hush Puppies! Don’t forget to look ant their daily specials too. Inside the restaurant can get a little tight when it’s busy but when the outside is open it isn’t as bad inside. The entire kitchen is open to the restaurant and watching them use the open fire pit grill is free entertainment for the kids. The staff has always been extremely polite and even when it gets busy they are apologetic and do their best to keep glasses full, which I very much appreciate.
