The cafe is more like a restaurant and there was a short wait which was well worth it. Service was absolutely awesome and the food was equally delicious. This place has high ratings for a reason and I would definitely love to come back. Oh by the way, I scarfed down the blueberry pancakes which were really good. I’m looking forward to going there again.

A great American brunch spot with beautiful indoor and outdoor seatings. Of course they have great food with generous portion. It’s always crowded regardless of weekdays or weekend!!

I had:
1. Pumpkin pancake
2. Old towne club – turkey, bacon
3. Eggs benedict
4. Nutella French toast

Cool place to eat in Orange County. Parking is a bit of a hassle, but there are a few public parking lots very close by.

We got there at 9 am. There was plenty of public parking still. 2 minute walk from the restaurant. The restaurant was packed, from the time we got there until we left around 11 am. At 11 am, parking was full.

They have a cool set up, inside and outside seating available, with heat lamps if needed.

Service was great, friendly and welcoming. Delicious coffee. I did think that the food was a bit price for what you get. I ordered the French toast breakfast (4 pieces of toast, 2 bacons, and two eggs) for $18.50 I believe. I thought it was expensive, but maybe it is just me.

I did enjoy the food and the atmosphere, but no, I was not full with my meal. I still had a great time there.

Don’t know if I’ll come back, especially since I don’t live close by.

From start to finish…our first time here was an amazing experience. Everyone is super friendly. So many food and drink options to choose from. Loved the outside seating area. Would definitely come back when in the area.

Category: Diner The first thing you see upon entering this very popular local haunt only a couple of blocks from the main drag are red leather booths, the black and white tiled floor, and the visible part of the kitchen. To the left is the largish dining room with booths, banquettes, and tables, mirrors along the long wall, and a high ceiling with mementos. The dining rooms are comfortable and homey, and would be good places to dine on a cooler day. The overall feel is of an upscale diner of yesteryear, where we would be regulars if we lived nearby. But if the weather is good, as it was when we visited, outside is where you want to be. The umbrellaed patio with rustic fence and overflowing flower boxes offers many tables, including a large double firepit table for a small group, and a lucky potbellied buddha sheltered by an old tree. There are also a few tables on the sidewalk outside the fence. The menu offers all of the usual suspects of breakfast and lunch diner fare with some South of the Border choices. My BLT was excellent and well balanced with equal amounts of B, L, and T. My four friends loved their dishes as well. Everything was well-prepared and well-presented, the service was excellent, and the setting was superb. YouTube’s Chef’s Apprentice

Great atmosphere. Less than great black coffee, and cinnamon french toast (mushy) with fresh fruit, (some bits ripe, some not). Prices are way up. Cinnamon French Toast 17.50 (no eggs or meat) and black coffee 3.45. The sauage was good. My partner enjoyed his eggs, sausage, hash browns, and english muffin. I told the waiter that the french toast was not good, which he should have noticed as my plate was nearly full at the end. I thought if the message was passed on and I received some sort of acknowledgement, I wouldn’t write this review. But, well, here we are.

The Iconic Filling Station Cafe in Old Towne Orange serves hearty and delicious Classic American dishes.

There’s indoor seating and a colorful, relaxing outdoor patio as well. Love the great aesthetics and that they’re pet-friendly. Wonderful customer service from David!

What we tried:
Sirloin Steak & Eggs (MUST-TRY)

Belgian Waffle Breakfast with 2 eggs with 2 bacon (crispy on the outside and fluffy inside)

Tuna Salad Sandwich (Albacore tuna) This was the BEST Tuna Salad Sandwich I’ve had at a restaurant!! Loved EVERY bite!! The Onion Rings were so crispy!

Fish Tacos (fully loaded)

Rose Matcha Latte (MUST-TRY)

This is my new favorite Brunch spot in the OC!!

Brunch with 4 people was great. There was about a 20 min. wait at 10:00 AM on Sunday morning by 11 there was a long wait for others. The food was very good and priced reasonably, given the inflated times. About $16 for most plates. The service was efficiently executed. The atmosphere was antique gas station ⛽️ stuff inside and college town patio stuff outside. Suggest parking in lot off of Main Street as street parking may take a while.
