We had lunch at the Fillin’ Station after getting our car serviced at Neal Tire in town (shout out to Scott!) and had a wonderful experience. I haven’t been here since I was a kid and it took me right back! Not only was it nostalgic but just as good if not better than I remember. By far the best fries and horseshoe around. And don’t skip out on the pie! It was well worth saving room for. To top it off, I don’t know the last time I had that good of a meal for under $30 for two people. Definitely worth the drive to Toledo, we will be back!

Quaint little place by the courthouse. I had heard legends of the Firey Peanut Butter Burger. It lived up to the hype. Patty tastes hand-made and is well seasoned. The combination of bacon, BBQ sauce, jalapenos and peanut butter is inspired. At just under $6 it is also a good value for the money. Might be even better with a slice of pepper jack cheese. I will do that next time.
The pie is amazing. If you come here you have to get a slice. You’ll thank me.
Fries were good, but after the burger and pie I was pretty stuffed so I can’t honestly assess them.
Staff is very friendly and service is fast.
You need to check this place out.

Wow! First time here and let me tell you completely impressed I mean first thing that jumped out at me was the fiery peanut butter burger I mean that’s an original burger right there at least I haven’t seen it before and it just screamed to me order me! Order me! So me and my date both had the fiery peanut butter burger and we were not disappointed! It was amazing and the for desert we had a peanut butter pie! I mean how can you not? And the pie was amazing it wasn’t to rich or thick or sweet it was just perfect kudos to this place for being an outstanding diner!

I had to take away a star from my review today after we stood waiting to get a table for about 12 minutes without being acknowledged in any way other than brief eye contact a few times. Very very awkward to stand there for that long with my kids as all the seated customers stared at us. There were several tables in the process of being bussed but rather than getting one ready and seating us, the busser continued removing items from other tables. Eventually the server walked up looking like she was wondering what we were doing standing there. I said “3” to answer the unasked question and just move things along without incident. She said “oh, sit wherever you’d like” but there were no clean tables. There was no apology for keeping us waiting or the apparent confusion over why we were standing waiting for that long. I’ve experienced this sort of thing other times in small town establishments where they seem to assume that everyone “knows the drill”. Please train staff to see every customer as a new customer until otherwise recognized, it will win repeat customers, great reviews, and referrals. All that said, I’ve had too many good experiences here in the past, the food today was excellent, and I’m very happy to see this business thriving in a small town, so much so that an incident like this can happen due to a very busy lunch hour on a Saturday. So 4 stars it is! I’ll be back to let you earn that 5th one back. To your success!

Fantastic small town dinner…in an old gas/service station. Good lunch breakfast & lunch specials, make sure you save room for the large selection of homemade desserts or get a couple to go. Always a treat to stop here when we’re in town.
