This was my go to bar all summer. This place has the best outdoor seating during the summer and warm days. Love sitting in the outdoor area. The happy hour is amazing, ordering via the app is great, but the bartenders are just the rudest and most un attentive people. I would never want to sit inside.

Also, during the week the music is absolutely terrible inside and there is no outdoor sitting at night so probably wont be going back until Spring!

They accept Apple Pay, which is really cool. Only one bathroom, but it was cleaned up to use it. I pooped.

Place blows regarding service… They completely understaff and you have to order via QR code and then pick up your own drinks, in addition to waiting at least a half hour for an order of chicken tenders. Finally, they hit you with a 20% autograt on your final bill when you did all the work. That’s exactly what I’m looking for when I wanna go out and be waited on… NOT!

The staff at this bar is a joke. I’ve been here three times, and each time their attitude and priorities were frustrating — more focused on personal conversations than serving customers. At a bar, the first priority should be getting drinks to guests, not chatting among yourselves.

It’s also not a friendly place for dog owners. I have a licensed, certified service dog, and one time I was refused entry even after showing proper documentation. That’s unacceptable. Hoboken is a dog-friendly community, and this bar clearly doesn’t respect that or its customers.

It was my first time in Hoboken and we went to The Ferryman for a couple drinks. It was a Friday night and w| got there like around 12am, the atmosphere was really nice tho. Everyone was having a great time and their drinks were cheap compared to the other bars near by. We have tons of fun . Also the music was really good. I remember they were playing old Hip-Hop music

The best chicken Cesar wrap in the game. The bartenders are always so on top off everyone in the best way even when the nights are chaotic! Nancy, Andriy and Michelle are simply the best I wish I could carry them in my pocket but I know it’s only Ferryman I can enjoy all of them and more!!

I’ve been going to the Ferryman for a while now and every experience I’ve had with staff and the atmosphere has been great. I truthfully look forward to football season specifically at Ferryman. It’s the best time of the year in Hoboken and Ferryman has a great football set. Can’t wait for this season!!

Yikes. We stopped by this Irish pub on July 4th, 2025 around 11pm for some drinks and a fun time. Although our drinks were good, we cannot look away from the cold “service” we received from beginning to end. It was an uncomfortable experience and I’m not going to keep quiet about it. Unfortunately, I didn’t get any names, but I wish I did.

Upon walking in, we seated ourselves at the very end of the bar. The bartender (a woman) who took our orders and made our drinks showed disdain for us. Why? Well, we’re still trying to figure that out. We were polite and friendly during every interaction. Not once were we disrespectful, rude, or rowdy. Riddle me this…

She barely made eye contact with us. No smiles, no warmth. Very standoffish. Very brief with her words. She acted like we were a bother… like she was doing us a favor. She and the other two bartenders (also women) did not check in on us or interact with us at all. In fact, they were barely at our end of the bar. We had to get their attention every time. It should not be that way… it should be the other way around. They all treated us in the same standoffish manner.

We don’t ask for servers to be up our a$$es every second… but what we do ask for is to be treated with basic respect and to at least feel welcomed. Bare minimum, isn’t it?

We thought that maybe they were having a bad day… but NAH. During the hour and a half we spent there, I observed the women interact with other customers at the bar. They were smiling, laughing, conversing, and being attentive to them. In fact, the bartender who made our drinks came from behind the bar to talk to customers seated next to us. I also observed her smoking and interacting with more customers outside.

We couldn’t even get a simple “you’re welcome” out of her… LOL. When she handed us our drinks, of course we warmly said “thank you”. No response or acknowledgement. A second later, she hands another customer their drink, they thank her, and she warmly says “you’re welcome” to them. This might sound like a petty detail, but when you’re being treated in a cold manner, these little things matter.

When we received our bill, we still tipped 20%. In reality, they didn’t deserve one. But I suppose being the bigger person can’t hurt sometimes… 🙂

Girl… we didn’t have to be here. There isn’t a shortage of Irish pubs in the Hoboken area. First and last time.

Bar and bar food, the place wasn’t too bad for drinks, but the food i need to admit was awful …. I ordered the fish and chips and the batter they used was horrid, the fish scant and i was mostly eating fried batter … I provided a second star due to the great service from the local waitress that evening … so the lesson here is, get drinks but eat elsewhere …

Sadly the picture doesn’t do it justice, but it was good. I certainly think it’s not bad for being a bar and not a restaurant. So not a restaurant, not a fast food, I would say somewhere in the middle. Overall, a nice place to hang out, have some drinks and munch on something.
