We had a brunch reservation for 8 people and had to put a deposit down on a credit card for $10 per person that would be refunded once the reservation was fulfilled.
The table already had cloth napkins and silverware on top but some of the napkins already had stains on them. The beignets were suggested to us a starter and all of us dug into them with our silverware to eat them. This ended up being really messy since it was mostly powdered sugar and jelly. When they came to clear our table to make room for the main dishes, they left the sticky/powdery silverware for us to continue using.
Our server did great at first explaining the drink menu but ended up confusing us once the drinks came out. Almost the entire table ordered the special mimosa they had for the day that cost $5 extra than the regular mimosas (we were fine with the price). She said since there’s so many drinking, she would bring us two bottles and one of them would be for the special mimosa mix and the other would be for two other juices of our choice just to have variety. She brought a small little carafe that held about 8 oz of the special mimosa mix for the whole table and it barely was enough. When I asked for another glass of the special mimosa mix, she said it would cost the same amount even though we weren’t ordering another bottle which made no sense. We ended up paying for one special mimosa plus the bottle and one regular mimosa plus the bottle instead of two special mimosas with the bottle.
She also misheard one of the orders that was supposed to be a classic Benny but she ended up bringing out a classic breakfast instead. She fixed it right away for us and took the extra dish off our bill without us even asking which we appreciated.
At the end of our meal, they brought out a small bowl of edible Oreo cookie dough with a candle in it for a birthday we were celebrating. It was very cute.
The food tasted good and everything looked beautiful but the cleanliness and service were a bit underwhelming.

Received a gift card for The Fed so made a reservation and was seated soon as we walked in. The place is really nice with great decor and history of the building. We were waited on by Micheal who was good but could see is was a tad overwhelmed with how busy his section was, only saw him a cpl of times. The draft beer I ordered was warm but replaced, only but it was warm too. Not sure how that happens without it be checked first. The floor manager did come over and explained there was issue with the cooling system, but still offering ? That was nice but thinking I should have been offered a bottle or can beer from one of the fridges behind the bar.

Started off with the Mussels and Frits and they were good. But also thinking $31 for a bowl of 16 was too much. That’s my mistake. If you want mussels, would recommend Vivios in Eastern Mkt or the location on Twelve mile. Served as a large entree in a steam pot for the fraction of the cost with drawn butter and two pieces is garlic bread. For my main I ordered Lamb Loin Chop, thinking this will be great based on other reviews. Well ten minuted later Michael comes out and explains they are out of this menu item. It’s 630 pm and already out ? At this point I’m a little frustrated so I just ordered Fish n Chips so we could move forward quickly.

Wife had pasta, yes it was good and the white wine was nicely chilled might give it another try but with all the restaurants on Main Street it may be awhile. Like I said place and structure of the building is really nice, but really not a place for a cozy date or a special occasion. Fire pit out side, which was nice to sit around as we waited for our ride share.

My husband and I dined at the Fed yesterday for a fun night out. Our waiter was amazing, very attentive and made some delicious recommendations. We started with the fried cauliflower which was delicious and reminded us of Chinese orange chicken but vegetarian style. Lol. It was delicious and we would order it again. We also had the goat cheese, pesto apricot and caramelized onion pizza which was so good and the pizza crust was perfect. Then for mains we tried the Piedmontese burger and fries and the blackened ahi tuna tacos. The tacos were very good, the tuna was cooked perfectly, however there was a lot of spice in the dish with the salsa and the blackened seasoning and it needed something creamy in my opinion to cut the heat. My husband’s burger was not cooked to order, even though we asked for medium rare, it came out medium – overcooked, he thought the burger wasn’t anything special and he wouldn’t order it again. He thought the seasoning on the burger was lacking, saying that it needed more salt. The French fries were delicious in terms of flavoring but we’re soggy and not crispy – we specifically asked for extra crispy as well. Despite the hiccup with the burger and fries, we really enjoyed our experience and would come back to try other items on the menu. We love that the food is all farm to table and how accommodating everyone was, the atmosphere is also just beautiful – elegance in a country style.

The Fed in Clarkston is truly one of the most beautiful and posh dining experiences in the area. The atmosphere is exceptional—stylish, warm, and thoughtfully curated. Their cocktail menu, bourbon selection, and extensive wine list are all top tier, and the drinks are crafted with real care.

The food is always top notch. Yes, you pay for the experience, but it’s consistently worth it. Every dish I’ve had has been delicious, and the ambience alone elevates the entire evening.

Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, an anniversary, enjoying happy hour, or just treating yourself to a special night out, The Fed is absolutely one of the best choices in Clarkston. Highly recommend.

Misty was a fantastic bartender!! She took great care of us and made some exceptional cocktails. The food was delicious too; we especially loved the steak bites and the short rib ragu (yum!). It was so fun watching the band play downstairs, and we will definitely be back.

Cool spot with great drinks and food. Started in the basement where we got craft cocktails and the cauliflower appetizer. The cauliflower appetizer was awesome. I wish I had taken a picture of it but we ate it so fast it disappeared. The old fashioned was delicious, my wife got some cucumber cocktail that was really good too. Then we went upstairs for dinner as we had a table reserved. The waitress talked us into a couple of dishes. My wife got a pasta with shrimp added to it that was really good and I chose the pork chop with sexy potatoes. The potatoes were great. The pork chop after a few bites I realized was not cooked fully. So I let the waitress know and they sent it back and prepared a new one for me. They felt really bad, so they provided free dessert and took care of the cost of the pork chop as well as my wife’s dinner. It was very generous and much appreciated. They do know how to take care of their guests which is great. Good news everything was fine I avoided eating any of the uncooked or undercooked pork. I would like to go back again and try something else on the menu. The burger sounded really good but I had just gotten a cheeseburger the day before.

What an amazing experience at The Fed Community! The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Our waitress, Kylie, was unreal—so patient and helpful when we had questions about the menu. Her kindness and attentiveness made our visit even better! This place is perfect whether you’re dining solo, catching up with friends, or planning a cozy date night. The service, the vibe, and the flavors all come together for an unforgettable meal. Can’t wait to come back!
