Hands down this place is nothing short of being just AMAZING. Beautiful atmosphere, exceptional service, good value for the price and delicious food. The owner was top notch and on her A GAME. She introduced herself and continued to check on us, making suggestions on food to order and most friendly. It’s very obvious that she prides herself in how her business looks and how it’s ran. Both she (Mandy- owner) and the waitress (Chelsea) were phenomenal. 10/10 I highly recommend. Food was so good and seasoned to perfection that we didn’t have to use the salt n pepper shaker. They have an amazing selection of wines and top shelf alcohol (although I was at work and couldn’t try any- but will be back) SUPER CLEAN ESTABLISHMENT. However this hidden gem is only open for lunch through the week and on FRIDAY AND SATURDAY for dinner. Therefore planning ahead of the trip there is ideal. Personal thanks to Mandy for running such an amazing restaurant. Tell your cooks in the back that they ARE THE BEST!! y’all got a regular customer here baby. Thanks for making my lunch memorable. Mediocre food, long wait time, weird atmosphere, and extremely rude owner. I confirmed with the server at our table that the chicken + shrimp pasta would be $19. I did this due to being confused by the prices and the server told me that yes, it would $16 for chicken pasta or $19 for the chicken + shrimp pasta. I went for the $19 option of chicken + shrimp pasta due to the server confirming the price.
When I got the bill, however, I saw that I was charged $16 for chicken pasta and a SEPARATE $12 for shrimp (only 5 btw). I told another server that this was an error and that the previous server told me that it would be $19 for the chicken + shrimp pasta option. The server then called the owner over, who then explained that I was charged correctly. I politely explained to the owner that the previous server told me that it would be $19 for chicken + shrimp pasta. The owner, accusing me of being a liar, said in an extremely rude tone that the server has sold dozen of those dishes and that she knows what to correctly say when customers inquire about it. I responded to the owner that the previous server clearly told me that it would be $19 for chicken + shrimp pasta. Not wanting to argue, I told the owner that I would just pay it. The owner then rudely sighed and said that she would take the shrimp off while stomping away like a 5 year old having a temper tantrum! I paid the reduced amount and left but not before writing “rude owner!” on my receipt. I will never return here. Totally unprofessional.

Full disclosure: this review was a 4/5 until I saw that Captain America watches you go to the bathroom. That bumps it up.
I had a Burger, medium rare, with an egg sunny side up, cheese and bacon and a loaded baked potato. My wife had BBQ shrimp with a fried grits ball.
The burger was very good, if messy thanks to the egg (which isn’t a complaint). Baked potato was good, but even though it was hot, it didn’t melt the cheese very well; some types of cheese don’t melt super easy. The shrimp were a little plain, which implies most of the flavor comes from the BBQ sauce, which was good but very fishy. The fried grits were delicious.
As an appetizer, we had cheese and bacon fries with sour cream and a side of ranch. While they look a little plain, they are actually delicious also; the cheese sauce was very good (it had dripped to the bottom of the fry pile).
Overall a nice hybrid casual restaurant with a nice taste; the decor was tasteful, but the staff were comfortable in T-shirts and jeans. And, most importantly of all, Captain America watch you potty.

First, the service was wonderful and personable. Our food came out super timely and to perfection. The portion was generous and very well worth it. I got the fish blackened redfish with potatoes and greens beans. The fish was thick and cooked perfectly. My friend got the shrimp po-boy and a loaded baked potato. She was pretty good.

The Staff were very friendly and helpful. Got in quick. Was very clean. I had the Bbq Burger. It was very delicious. Loved the fries. The homemade pickles were to die for. Husband got the Shrimp Polenta. It was so good. The Fried Green Tomatoes were pretty good. Was more batter than tomato. His Jack & Coke was perfect. He said the Bloody Mary needed a little more flavor. We poured the juice off my cup of pickles into the Bloody Mary. Made it better. The Cheesecake was so good. The Chocolate Cake was even better. Glad we stopped to try it while traveling

I’ve eaten here a few times while in Monroe for business. Very friendly staff and everything very well prepared and presented. Came with a party of 5, all ordered different dishes, and everyone was happy with their meals. Great food and reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

First time going because I was on the hunt for shrimp and grits. Google shrimp & grits and this restaurant pulled up. Decided to take the drive since Cottons shrimp & grit is much higher if it’s not lunch time. The staff was extremely nice, I was really impressed, but the shrimp and grit was not good at all. The grits were more like mashed potatoes, sadly I only ate the shrimps. Man was I disappointed. It was too runny, no consistency at all. 22.00 wasted.
