My wife and I stopped by The Fat Guy Sandwich Shopin Lisle and were seriously impressed! We ordered the Tuna Panini Sub, the Sonny Sub, and an oatmeal cookie — and everything tasted incredibly fresh and flavorful. You can really tell they use quality ingredients.
The tuna panini was perfectly toasted, the Sonny Sub was packed with flavor, and that oatmeal cookie was the perfect sweet finish.
On top of the great food, the customer service was excellent — friendly, welcoming, and attentive.
We’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend if you’re in the Lisle area and craving a great sandwich!

Tried the Fat Guy Sandwich Shop for the first time tonight with my wife. Ordered the turkey panini and basic sandwich to go. They were both phenomenal and fresh ingredients. Family owned business with great customer service. We will be back. Highly recommend.

Delicious Italian style subs sandwiches and desserts. The broccoli cheddar soup was delicious. The house salad was also very tasty. The chocolate mousse cake was very yummy too. When you have that sandwich craving let The Gat Guy Sandwich Shop satisfy it.

I seldom give a place five stars, but this place DESERVES them—in food, service, and atmosphere.
A little pricey but this has got to be, hands-down, THE BEST sub sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. The bread was just the perfect amount of soft yet crispy. I think you get what you pay for.
I was just absolutely blown away. Great sandwich, a really nice space, and kind people.
My picture is half of the 6” Italian. It was just perfect in every way. I WILL be back to try more.

Definitely would come back! Highly recommend this sandwich shop. They were attentive and very friendly. I ordered the Sonny and it did not disappoint! The sandwich was made with care and was a good warm up after walking in the cold.

I was looking through Google maps and I saw this had a 5 star rating. That never happens, so I figured I had to try it. It lived up to the hype. I ordered the Sonny and it was the best grilled chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. Juicy and flavorful. I will have to come back and try the Italian.

The Sonny sub was AMAZING!! No dramatics, it was juicy chicken, bacon and so much more. The flavors were so good! If you’re looking for a GREAT sandwich, skip jersey mikes and all that come here!! So worth it!!

Hidden gem alert! I stopped by for a quick lunch and was blown away. The roast beef panini is a masterpiece of flavor combinations and perfectly toasted bread. You can tell they put real thought into the ingredients because it tastes nothing like a ‘typical’ sandwich. If you’re nearby, do yourself a favor and grab one! I will definitely be back!

My studio is not far from here so the design team has enjoyed their sandwiches several times now. I think the Turkey Panini is great. Everything feels fresh and the sourdough is grilled to be crispy but not hard and scratchy. The Italian and Basic are tasty sandwiches as well, but the Turkey is my go-to.
