Amazingly fresh and delicious! The Shrimp Po’Boy took me straight to the ocean! The Homemade Potato Chips are delicious and crispy, The Jayhawk fried chicken sandwich was perfectly done and the fries seasoned just right – we loved it all!

We eat at this place quite often! We have not had a bad meal yet! We have tried steaks that melt in your mouth, burgers are wonderful especially with their homemade chips and dipping sauce. Chicken fried steaks with homemade gravy like grandma used to make and BBQ pork and brisket that is so tender and tasty (no sauce necessary unless you want it and it is awesome as well). We plan to try desert next time as we have heard it often sells out but we’ll need to take it home because we are always too full.

Mom got a great Philly sandwich! I had a grilled cheese, hardly any cheese and couldnt tell what kind was on. Potato salad had tons of garlic in it! The girls are great!

It is clean and everyone was very friendly. The food was tasty although the fat wasn’t rendered that well in the pulled pork so quite a bit of our serving wasn’t meat, it was fat and connective tissue. The homemade chips and okra were excellent. They offered a variety of condiments on the table that were nice. The beans have nice pieces of meat in them but they’re canned baked beans so I didn’t care for them really because of the canned sauce flavor. The smoked Reuben was great. Lastly, it took entirely too long to get our food. Probably close to 45 minutes. It was busy and many of the other restaurants in town were closed so maybe that’s why. However there was no apology or even acknowledging the timeliness of the food service. Some really good things going on here, I hope it improves.

I stopped in today for lunch and gave the country fried chicken a go, it was absolutely amazing!! It is the best I’ve had!! I’m in town for work and I now know where all of my lunches will be!!

Foods good when it’s made right. My husband ordered baked potatoes and asked the waitress if the sauce came on the side which she replied yes. And when we got our potatoes they where drenched with the sauce. An when I called to ask them to remake it since I was sick. An the owner refused to remake them saying the waitress told my husband it came on it. We have ordered the same stuff and we always make sure it’s in the side
