Hash brown supreme and homestyle biscuits and gravy were good. Quaint on the the square restaurant worth going to for a hine style breakfast…

This little restaurant on the town square served us one of the best breakfasts we’ve had. The eggs were fresh and served hot, the hashbrowns are homemade, the bacon was cooked just the way I like it, and the pancakes, which were served about 5 minutes after our plates came out, were fresh, hot, big, and smelled like a fresh-baked cake right out of the oven. They had a hint of sweetness that made them so good you almost didn’t need syrup.

The service was great too. Our waitress was very sweet and quick with everything.

We enjoyed our breakfast and will definitely return!

This is our favorite spot in town. Everything on the menu is amazing and the staff is so wonderful! Today we got the club sandwich (a favorite in our household) and I got the special plate with chicken salad on a croissant, tomato basil soup and fruit salad. The club sandwich is always perfectly made. It’s stacked so high it’s always funny to see how the kids try and eat it. My plate was perfect for lunch. The chicken salad was finely shredded and on a small croissant. The tomato basil soup is without a doubt some of the best ever! The fruit salad was amazing, all the fruit was perfectly ripe and tasted wonderful! To top it off we got the key lime cheesecake bites and all I can say is WOW! My kids were silent the entire time they were eating it minus a few “yummmms”. This is a wonderful little gem sat right in the middle of Bay City.

Upon entering the establishment, I was told by the greeter that I can seat any where. The greeter than asked me what I would like . I did not know who my waitress was as I sit , I notice that other people were being greeted by a difference person which was the waitress. I ordered chicken fried steak and eggs , which came with hashbrowns.. This dish came in a small bowl like plate. Hash brown on bottom ,chicken fried steak on top topped with gravy and 2 eggs on top. The food was good. The feeling I felt when being served this dish was like in a dog bowl! As I continued to eat my meal , no waitress has came came up to us, I was finally able to flag down a waitress and asked if she can get my waitress and slash greeter. She called her name several times, but she was never answered her and then the waitress who I asked for help ignored me. So I got up myself to get my tobacco sauce myself. As I continued to eat meal, I’m seeing other white patrons getting service by there white waitress.

As I paid my meal the greeter continued to ask me about my service, I told her , what service, no one ever helped me but give me my meal in a dog bowl.

The feeling I felt coming into this establishment was very racist biased . I will never come eat here again.

I left Houston on the way to Corpus Christi without eating. It’s a bad idea , by Bay City, I was starved . I did not want donuts or fast food. I found this place by accident , there were no other customers and I received great service. I ordered a country breakfast , it had 2 eggs, any style , hash browns , bacon, a bisquit and I ordered grits, which were perfect , not too thick and not thin. The bacon was good bacon it was just a touch overcooked. The hash browns were perfect. My eggs were not so perfect. The white was perfect , but the yellow was overcooked. I did look at the lunch menu, and it looked good , so next trip , lunch. It was a little pricey, but I did order a side of grits and took Pie home. They do add 4% for card service charge ( and did not mention it)

I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast. I ordered an omelette which is my “go to” breakfast choice and I think it was one of the best I have had in a while. It was moist and tasty. Our server was extremely friendly and attentive. Would definitely go again!

We were passing thru Bay City and accidentally ran across this place. It was about 9:30 and we were looking for breakfast. The place was empty and we were seated right away and well tended to by our server who we thoroughly enjoyed talking to. There are many great things on the breakfast menu to choose from, but I chose the hash brown supreme. It was a large serving of hash browns with ham, and sausage and bell peppers and two eggs served on top. It was a very large portion and I was unable to finish it, which is rare. My wife got a plate with two eggs, two pieces of bacon, hashbrowns and she got a side of grits. The only thing I tried off of her plate were the grits, and they were cooked perfectly. When we got ready to leave, we got a piece of lemon meringue pie and a pecan pie to take home. We ate the pies later in the day, and they were amazing. I would go out of my way to swing by just to buy some pie the next time I’m passing through town. There is lots of seating and there is an extra room with even more seating. I spoke to the server about lunch and she said they get very busy and they even have a salad bar. I would imagine that around lunch time you may have a little difficult time finding parking. The lunch menu looks really good and the next time we’re headed back to Houston and pass by in the middle of the day we will stop and try lunch with them. We really enjoyed this stop and look forward to coming back many times.

Knocked it out of the park again! I’m usually pretty picky about chicken spaghetti, but this one was soooo good. My husband said the fried fish is some of the best he’s had. And the green beans, the BEST! Love this place!
