I went to The Farm Kitchen as I was not too far away and wanted something hearty yet healthy. After reading various online reviews, I decided to give it a try. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is a faith based restaurant. I love supporting Christ centered businesses.

I ordered their lunch special which was the meatloaf with 2 sides. So I had green beans, mac and cheese, and a homemade biscuit, and I absolutely devoured every bite. I was on a low carb diet, but that went right out the window after tasting the food here. Everything was fantastic, and the service was just as wonderful. The atmosphere felt very warm and homey.

One small suggestion would be to add a few more vegetable options. The green beans were phenomenal, but some roasted Brussel sprouts or carrots would have been a nice touch. Overall, everything was excellent, and I will definitely save my cheat meals for this place whenever I am back in the area.

We were unaware of this kind and thoughtful offering and decided as we travel to find a good breakfast. We drove up and saw the parking lot overwhelmed with parked vehicles so decided to try our luck. What a surprise ordered the best eggs sausage biscuits and gravy and a sausage patty with coffee. Sat at the family style table had this great meal and good conversation with strangers around us. Got up to pay our bill and the owner said “happy thanksgiving it’s free” what a wonderful gracious surprise….from SC travelers, thank you so much, we will definitely be back for your hospitality and delicious food

Recommended by family. Got the farm breakfast. Grits creamy and excellent bacon. Meat there raised by the Hamiltons which own the restaurant. The biscuits are homemade and very good. My cousins rave about the gravy. It was very good but IMO was slightly bland. Pepper helped but perhaps add some sage or more sausage to add flavor. Very good experience. Meat for sale there in freezer looked excellent with good prices. Highly recommend.

Absolutely loved The Farm Kitchen! I had the pork tenderloin with mac and cheese and mashed potatoes—everything was homemade and full of flavor. My wife had the biscuits and gravy and said they were some of the best she’s ever had. The staff was super friendly and made us feel right at home. They also had local honey and a great selection of flowers and tomato plants for sale. You can really tell it’s a family-run place with heart. Can’t wait to come back!

just back from breakfast here and OOF! Wow am I full and happy! – just like going over to your neighbors’ house for breakfast and they are amazing chefs with all farm fresh ingredients! Great faith centered atmosphere – spacious and clean – – – efficient operation, BIG helpings, fair prices and tasty food. Ya can’t go wrong at Farm Kitchen! – One warning – allot yourself 10 minutes on your schedule to sit and “just digest” after eating – you’re gonna need it!

What an amazing family restaurant! We have never been to a restaurant or anywhere for that matter where both the food was amazing as well as the kind souls, including all the customers! Everyone that we encountered was kind, happy, friendly. From their smiles to
Opening doors, to conversation and cute little Greta who waited on us. The cinnamon rolls are absolutely AMAZING and a MUST!! Wish we lived closer! We ate outside on the porch! It was so busy all the tables were full but we loved the table on the porch!

The Farm Kitchen was a recommendation from a friend. I had breakfast there this morning. The food was absolutely delicious. I opted for the Farmer’s breakfast, which included biscuits and gravy, eggs, potatoes, and sausage. Each component was delicious. The friendly staff at the counter made my experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning in the future.

A perfect spot to stop on a drive in between Frankfort and Louisville. It seems like all of the locals are there on a Saturday. Everything was well priced and so fresh. The workers were all kind. It was full, so you may sit at a table with other people but everyone was friendly. I loved the small town setting. We will definitely be back if we go to the bourbon trail again!
