To be clear, the waitstaff were amazing—attentive and professional throughout the night. However, the kitchen and management were a different story.
My friend ordered a filet (medium-well) and I ordered a ribeye (Pittsburgh-style medium-rare). When they first arrived, the cuts were correct, but the temperatures were completely swapped: her filet was medium-rare and my ribeye was medium-well. We sent them back, but the second attempt at my steak was anemic-looking and undercooked. By the third attempt (see photo, after spending 2 hours in a to go container), the ribeye was charred on the outside but purple and raw in the center.
The most frustrating part was the manager. Instead of handling the error professionally, he actually crouched over my shoulder to watch me cut the third steak and then condescendingly told me that raw meat is “how they cook medium-rare.” As a regular, I know exactly how they usually cook; this was raw, not medium-rare.
To top off the evening, there was a cockroach on the wall right above our table. It’s disappointing when the hard work of the waitstaff is overshadowed by an incompetent kitchen and a manager who would rather argue with a long-term customer than fix a steak. We were there celebrating a birthday and it was so bad, we took the birthday cake home to celebrate instead of staying in the restaurant.
Even making the reservation was a pleasure: a quick, lovely phone call that set the tone for the exceptional service to come. Speaking of service, Radames was outstanding. He was friendly, genuine, and incredibly attentive without ever being intrusive. It’s rare to find someone who elevates an already wonderful experience, but he absolutely did.
And the food… unbelievable. The filet was hands down the best I’ve ever had. It was perfectly cooked, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and bursting with flavor. The house steak sauce, omg!! I wish I could have purchased a gallon to bring home to Tennessee! The martinis were on point as well, expertly made and the perfect complement to our meal.
We absolutely loved our time on the island, and The Falls Steakhouse was the perfect place to end it. Can’t recommend it enough! Thank you Radames and team for a 5 ⭐️ experience!
Steaks were great. New York Oscar style and filet we had loaded baked potato, baked Mac and cheese, sweet corn bacon mashed potatoes and veggies. All were very good. Steaks cook perfect the falls sauce is good also had a bearnaise sauce as well. Great staff our waiter I wish I remembered her name. Little UK accent was amazing very welcoming and had some great conversation. Thank you a great experience
The food was excellent – filets for my wife and I and buttered pasta and chicken fingers for the kids. Service was amazing as well. For our cocktails that are included in the price of the meal, I had a classic dirty vodka Martini with my meal and my wife chose the monthly special which was a tropical-inspired number. Between the steak sauce choices, I’d recommend either the green peppercorn or the burgundy mushroom. The Falls house steak sauce was a bit too soy saucy/salty for us. Lastly, the crème brûlée dessert was immaculate.
We’ll be back on Friday night to see if the weekend ribs special is as good as remembered last go around.
