We were one of maybe 3 other couples in the entire restaurant, which should usually mean there isn’t a long wait for food. A cheese enchilada and a taco order took about 30 minutes to come out, and when it did, the tacos were missing the Surf and Turf part (shrimp) that I paid extra for. The waitress was unsure of where the cook was, and when I sent the tacos back to be done properly, it took about 10 minutes to receive barely cooked shrimp (tails were still attached) which were hardly seasoned simply THROWN on the top of the tacos. It literally looked like the chef smoked a joint, grabbed a handful of Costco frozen shrimp, let it sizzle for a couple minutes, add the tiniest amount of salt/pepper, and then chucked it on top of the tacos.

My girlfriend’s enchiladas were also very sour with the sauce they added on, and the cheese inside them was hardly melted. The texture and taste was like a frozen Trader Joe’s meal.

Both of us and our waitress were simply baffled by how ridiculous the food was. The icing on the cake – both of us then had awful stomach aches after eating. Mexican restaurants in DTSJ should be avoided – go to La Vic’s if you want good Mexican food or go to another city.

DON’T COME HERE. Friend and I came here for lunch and waited 40 MINUTES for a single avocado toast. The $15 avocado toast barely had any avocado (see picture), and the chips were straight from a bag. The cheese looked as if they took it straight out of the packaging and dumped it on there cold. Eat somewhere else!

The drink was good, I ordered a Paloma. I think she said they were buy one/get one, but it was a lunch break, so maybe next time

Ordered a personal mushroom and sausage. Sausage was gross. I’m pretty sure it was mini chicken apple sausage, and I think there was yellow cheese too, blegh. The crust, however *chefs kiss*.

Someone ordered flautas and someone else a burger. None of us really finished our food, the overall impression was “meh”.

Woul definitely come back for the 2×1 drinks.

Food was over an hour late and they forgot our order multiple times. When our food did come, they served each of us individually so we all ate at separate times. The black coffee tasted sweet (did it have sugar because it was burnt/old?) but the OJ was okay.

Bathroom code is 2580.

The place is conveniently located near downtown and SJSU. Lots of options, including vegetarian. I loved the different varieties of salsa with chips. We had the wet burrito and veggie fajitas. The food was great and nicely presented in a casual setting! Also, they had a broad selection of beer on tap which I would highly recommend. Definitely coming back for more!

The shrimp tacos were delicious. The server was friendly and efficient except she forgot my beverage until after the food arrived. It was noisy with music and a TV going. It was difficult to carry on a conversation.

Overall The Fab was ok. The highlight of the meal was the ceviche appetizer which was delicious. The margarita flight tasted fine but came out room temperature which was disappointing. The sopes, nachos and street tacos were all fine, no complaints but nothing that stood out. We had one waitress that barely said a word but another who was very friendly and excited we were there. Also the happy hour isn’t really a deal because all of the happy hour appetizers are way smaller than the regular appetizers. I won’t rush back.

Probably one of the worst places I’ve been to. First off, I got the Veggie Fajitas and the Deluxe Burrito. Total came to 40 dollars and some change. Even though my change was .58 cents, I wasn’t given it. And that set the mood.
42 minutes wait time for these two items. It perturb me that one waitress was too busy making Instagram videos to check on me as I waited.
The burrito had one foil wrapper that didn’t fit the burrito. It’s taste, texture, and presentation was all low. Definitely not worth the price.
The Fajitas were the same. Two spoonfuls of dry Mexican rice and beans each, and 3 tortillas. With the price, I would expect more. With their sour cream with the consistency of whole milk (water down basically), it made the meal not worth it.
All in all, highly not recommended. Better burritos a block away. Also better Fajitas a block away at a different shop. Don’t waste your money here.

The chefs here are doing it right. They knocked it out of the park. The food is so good. Beverages are great. Awesome location. Corn ribs. Nachos. Guac. Wings. Literally, everything we ate was spot on. Must try.

Hands down Five Star Restaurant. My partner and I were out of town for his birthday weekend and found this place on Google, and because of the amazing reviews we decided to try it out ourselves. They have fun specials every single day of the week which we thought was an added bonus. We ordered beers, a cocktail later on, the dirty fries for an appetizer, street tacos, and quesabirrias. Everything was mouth watering with flavor. The street tacos were full of meat and they even brought out a sampler of all they’re sauces. We went on a Friday night and they had live entertainment by Mr.ExTrEmO. He was vibing the whole time and made sure everyone was having a good time. We talked to him a little about why we were vacationing. Soon enough the owner Adrian comes over with sparkling shots!! We chatted with him and turns out his daughter was our waitress and she did amazing. The food and hospitality was so good we had to come back the next morning for their breakfast burritos. And guess what, did not disappoint. If we are ever in the San Jose area again we will be coming back to The Fab.
