While in Louisville for work, I stopped by The Exchange for dinner. The atmosphere was really nice and had a great vibe, which made it a comfortable place to sit at the bar and unwind.

The food was just okay overall. I had the burger and it didn’t really stand out, and I wasn’t a big fan of the cheese that came on it. Nothing bad, just not something I’d go out of my way to order again.

One drink that did stand out was their twist on an espresso martini. They use bourbon instead of vodka, which made it bold and a little richer, but it wasn’t overly strong.

The bartender was friendly and attentive, which always makes a difference. Honestly, one of the best things I had was the honey mustard for dipping the fries. That sauce was excellent.

Overall, great atmosphere and service, but the food itself was a bit underwhelming.

My office had our after Christmas party here, in the Stable room upstairs. Hannah & Charles made the planning extremely easy. They stayed in touch, gave menu recommendations, and adapted to all the changes we made.
When we arrived they were ready, made great drink recommendations for those of us unsure about what we wanted.
They had the food out in quick succession, which was also amazing.
The entire atmosphere was very welcoming and pleasant.
I truly appreciate all their hospitality!

We hosted our intimate wedding dinner for 35 guests in The Stables Upstairs, and it exceeded every expectation. The space was beautiful and genuinely private, with our own dedicated bar that made the evening feel extra special. The meal was wonderful, and the entire experience was completely stress-free. From the planning process to the day-of service, every team member was kind, attentive, and incredibly easy to work with. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate.

The Exchange was most certainly the best!! They were easy to work with, the service and the food was so outstanding!! They catered a baby shower and went above and beyond on their service. If you are pondering what caterer to use, select them, you and your event can’t go wrong. I can’t state how many people commented on the absolute wonderful food! I wish I had more photos but they made two trips because they wanted to assure the food was hot! Big thank you!!!

Sat at the bar and had great service from both ladies. We had the Nashville hot chicken dinner. The pickles on that are amazing. Like a little spicy/garlic bread and butter type taste. I could eat an entire plate of just those alone. The mac and cheese and coleslaw that came with it are really good too and I’m super picky on coleslaw. We also had the goat cheese fritters….get them. They are delicious! My friend also loves her stomach and arugula salad with blackened chicken. Definitely happy we stopped in here!

We had such a great experience at The Exchange Pub! From start to finish, everything impressed us—the atmosphere was lively yet comfortable, the service was attentive, and the food and drinks were outstanding.

The cocktails were creative and perfectly balanced, a great way to kick off the meal. For food, we especially loved the Steak Frites, cooked beautifully and full of flavor, and the Nashville Hot Chicken, which had just the right amount of heat and crunch. The Goat Cheese Fritters were a standout appetizer—crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and absolutely delicious.

To top it all off, the Blueberry Bread Pudding was the perfect ending—warm, indulgent, and packed with flavor.

Overall, The Exchange Pub delivers on all fronts: excellent food, fantastic cocktails, and a welcoming vibe.

My husband and I went for my birthday dinner and it was fantastic. I ordered the braised short ribs and the dish might be my favorite at any restaurant. The goat cheese fritters are a can’t miss. Service was excellent. They surprised me with a birthday sundae complete with a candle and a birthday card signed by the staff. It was a lovely touch.

We’re long term customers for carry out, despite the fact that they ALWAYS forget the sauces we ask for extra of. Tonight they forgot the coleslaw and no tartar sauce for the fish and chips so in the cold and snow he drove back up there. He told the gentleman working he had ordered extra tartar sauce and he came back with just 1 sauce. The fish was soggy and doughy in spots. Quality control has lacked for a while and sadly to say we probably won’t carry out here anymore. Not worth the price.

It’s good, don’t get me wrong. But it’s like any other millennial restaurant that serves its food on metal trays. I wouldn’t recommend you come here particularly, but if you on the fence it’s worth a try.
