Horrible eating experience my wife had the chicken Wellington which was off tasting and too salty which I’m sure no one regularly orders preferring beef I’m sure.. it was replaced by a plate of broiled whitefish and it was so fishy and old I tasted it and had to spit it out..
I ordered the Pistachio Halibut and it was very small but okay and good with butter but the pistachios were burned on top.
The waitress was friendly and our salads were good and the fresh bread to die for.. very yumilicious!!
We had ice water to drink with lemon being health conscious about sugary drinks…
They charged us $49 for the halibut!!
$8 for an upcharge from potato to asparagus for me.. $60 dollars for my meal?
My halibut was not worth $60!!
Ordered from their menu with no prices on it but I was sure Halibut was supposed by the waitress said was to be $34 …
Ten dollars they charged for my wife’s side salad…
Total $70 dollars!!!
What??
We will not come back…
For what they charge it’s not worth it but the place is very pretty..

Very unique and fun looking place! Fireplace centered tables outside were cozy with blankets provided. It was in the 50s and we were comfy in our shorts and sweatshirts. Brought us a rose before service! We had the regular French onion which was perfect. The bread basket was good. My spouse had steak and baked potato that was very tasty and cooked perfectly. I had the smaller portion pork chop with apples on top and it’s the best pork I have ever had!!! I even ate the glazed carrots because they were so good (I’m not a carrot fan!). Beautiful dinner for a special night out. I’d say the foods priced just right. Our waiter was great and very nice; he even took time to speak with us about Romania and his summer program he was on to work in DC then go back to school. Also open later hours then a lot of places which helped us with the time change and out stomachs schedule.

Corrine was an absolute delight as our waitress. Food was delicious, bread was warm, steak and potatoes were hot and cooked to perfection. So much so, I forgot to snap a picture of it. But I did manage to snap a picture of the delicious wine we had with dinner. And the cool knights outside

Great spot with beautiful outdoor patio. Each table has it’s own glass enclosed fire pit in the center of the round tables. Lovely well tended plants adorn the grounds.
The service was friendly and our steaks were cooked to order, flavorful, and nicely plated.
It was nice to have a great meal with ambiance while dining with our dog!

We ordered the 12oz filet and the stuffed portobello mushroom plate. Food was excellent. Steak was under cooked but asked waiter to have to corrected and they did. Cheese curds and bread were great as well. Brandy old fashioneds we’re good as well and the 7 layer chocolate cake was amazing.

Most expensive and worst dining experience I’ve ever had. Went for dinner with my girlfriend and had prime rib, overall the food wasn’t awful but not the best. Our seat was a joke. Our table kept getting hit but everyone’s butt because we were in an awkward isle that should have never had a table. To make it worse they only had 2 waiters on that night because according to the owner. He had to take 9 employees to the airport so they could leave the country? (I overheard this after a disgruntled woman came up and said “this was the worst service she ever had”. And that was his reply.. for a $160 bill it was not worth the expense or the time whatsoever and was and embarrassment of a date night.

I posted pictures of the makeshift table they had us at. Next to a room full of junk and boxes

Can’t say enough great things about our visit here! My meal was outstanding, from the New England clam chowder to the roasted duck with cherry sauce! Our sever was a true delight and treated us, and our two young children, like family. Definitely recommend!

My niece and I returned to the English Inn for our fall Door County trip. The food was excellent! We both ordered the filet again. The Service was good. We didn’t have a reservation (5pm) and had outdoor seating by the koi pond again. It was 55° outside after sunset so blankets were provided and the tables have propane fire pit in center. They surprised us each with a rose after dinner. Picture from the last time we dined there. My parents used to frequent this restaurant for their anniversary. Now it’s most likely becoming a tradition for me and my niece!

We loved this “supper club” style restaurant. The service was excellent. Immediate seating when you entered. The martini menu was great. I had the chocolate martini which I highly recommend. There is a large choice of entrees including a specialty menu. I had the recommended Beef Wellington. It was delicious! They even gave every lady a rose.
The decor, atmosphere and selection of indoor or outdoor seating is really nice. Located just on the edge of Fish Creek, WI. Highly recommend.

Service was wonderful. Tonight’s special was lobster crab and shrimp which my bf says is amazing. My fettuccine Alfredo had sat in the window so long it was a paste. One of the worst pasta dishes I’ve ever had. Entrees come with tasty warm bread and choice of soup or salad. The French dressing was different, would not order again. Bf described the bruschetta as “like a pizza” lol. Tiny amount of tomato with lots of baked cheese and a bland balsamic. Grasshopper was average. There’s better in Door County. I’ll give it another chance but overall three stars for now.
