The chairs are wonderful-which is necessary when you have an hour and a half wait for three entrees, one of which was from the kids menu. I’m not much of a review writer, especially for places in a small town, but after trying the Empire several times, each time being worse, a one star review sort of seems generous. The building is beautiful, and the server really tried, but unfortunately that doesn’t have much impact on barely edible food.

I had not tried this restaurant before the revamp that being said a friend and I came in later on Saturday evening. There was no wait and we got sat immediately. Our waitress had a majority of the tables so another server got out drink order. I ordered a martini. It was amazing and exactly how I ordered it. Our waitress was the sweetest and very attentive. I ordered the Cajun burger medium and received it just how I ordered it. I did upgrade the fries and they were delicious. I have no complaints about our food, server or experience and will definitely be back! Also wanted to note that the prices are pretty reasonable too. Go check them out!

Fine dining, in classy old brick building with piano, and good for a romantic evening dinner. We made reservations online and they have the table set up for us. Bartender greeted us and generally server quite attentive to our needs especially considering there was a wedding going on as well. The lamb lollipops definitely was the star of the night, which had a nice smoky charing to them. The five cheese penne was perfectly Savory and Rich without being too sharp. The pork medallions left something to be desired and the plum sauce could have been a little more potent. French onion soup was not overly salty which is it first. As far as cocktails go the peachy beachy lemonade was really good. Overall I think it was a good experience although I was most saddened for them being out of the brussels sprouts.

The atmosphere is great & everyone is friendly. The server doesn’t know the food … I got the hot honey flatbread he didn’t know the difference between spicy or hot…flatbread was just lukewarm could have been toasted better…the French onion soup was horrible so salty you couldn’t eat it again lukewarm and cheese not toasted. My espresso martini was good but I’ve had much better. It was end of the night so maybe that was the issue so will try again because everyone I’ve talked to said it was very good.

Ate here with my girlfriend for our anniversary and our experience as a whole was outstanding. The food was prepared quite quickly and everything came out warm and tasty! Our appetizer was the romesco dip with pita and it was so flavorful. Our entree’s were the pork medallions as well as the five-cheese penne, the presentation on both made us feel very excited to try. The pork was cooked to perfection and the five-cheese penne was incredible. I also ordered a side of truffle risotto which was delightful. We finished off with their new banana pudding cookie cheesecake and it was a sweet and rich finish to our experience which made it even better. Our server Julia was also very kind and attentive. Overall, we had a great time together and we highly recommend for anyone who might be interested to give it a try!

I visited The Empire Bistro on a Friday evening around 9:30 pm and was immediately impressed by the warm welcome and inviting atmosphere. Having followed the transition from the original fine-dining Empire to the new, more relaxed Empire Bistro, I was curious to see how the team would maintain their renowned standards in a laid-back community setting—they’ve absolutely nailed it.
The bar is stunning, the staff are genuinely friendly and knowledgeable, and the cocktails are crafted with real care. My whiskey sour was perfectly executed (complete with egg white and balanced to classic specifications), and the prices are remarkably fair for the quality. At the bartender’s recommendation I tried his take on a Sazerac—a New Orleans classic—and it was easily one of the best I’ve ever had.
The Empire Bistro has managed to keep every bit of its upscale polish while becoming the kind of welcoming neighborhood gem that works for everyone, whether you’re dressed up or dropping in casually. Burger was ok. Fries are like cardboard. Ribeye was good, loaded baked potato was not loaded, missing butter and sourcream. Ordered a side salad and never got it. Waiter came by only when we waved him down. Over all, not impressed. Another restaurant would have been a better choice.

Group of 4 of us came in before the Comedy Show at the Ritz. Waiter was very unprofessional, he rarely came back to check on us. Out of the 4 meals we had only 1 was good. Not sure if they dont have dessert but we were never offered anything. Unfortunately just wasn’t a good experience dont think we will be back!!
