Ordered the 12 empanadas tonight (1/23) online, got a call from them that I get 2 free. They could’ve screwed me but didn’t because I didn’t know about the special. When I arrived, the young man working in the front was very personable and let me in on a secret which I was very grateful for. To his parents…BRAVO..you raised a fine young man and should be very proud of him. Empanadas were delicious!! They also had a 98 sanitation grade! Go get you some empanada or something else off their menu!!

My absolute favorite restaurant in Wake Forest, truly a gem. I’m definitely one of their regulars. Every time I post my food, everyone’s asking where did you get that because it looks so good, and it is. The seasoning is always on point and so consistent at this point I need the recipes. And the empanadas are always a hit.
The staff is top tier. Flor and Bassil are always so kind and greet you with a smile, and Maria’s always in the kitchen whipping it up perfectly. I even met the owner and he’s wonderful too.

Absolutely a gem of a find, the food was not only extraordinary well seasoned and filling, the atmosphere was Fantastic. Loved the backdrop. Great spot to stop and grab or sit down and enjoy some AUTHENTIC Puerto Rican food. The staff was pleasant and accommodating for all of our requests.amd don’t get me started on the prices. I was so surprised that it was 1/3 the price of other much worse prices in Delaware. 10/10 would definitely recommend and will be back

The Chicken and Beef Tacos are delicious really and the empanada was amazing. The service didn’t line up with the food. I understand a busy restaurant but a little more attentiveness and organization for to go orders would have significantly enhance the experience. I will recommend for food but I hope the service improves to match that awesome food.

My GF wanted sweets and went to the bakery next door, so I gazed up and saw the shining beacon of a sign that read, “The Empanada Factory.”
I had only ever had empanadas from the freezer section, and I felt it was my duty as a fan of foreign cuisine to give this place my due diligence.
I entered around 10:30 a.m., and the place wasn’t super busy—just a nice young lady at the counter and a woman working diligently in the back, preparing for the onslaught of ravenous customers soon to approach.
I informed the lady behind the counter of my empanada ignorance, and she was very helpful in guiding me to empanada Shangri-la. I ordered a basic beef and cheese, a boricua, and “The Godfather” in a three-empanada combo. For the dipping sauce, I tried the creamy and delicious cilantro garlic ranch.
Each empanada was cooked to order—crispy and delicious. The insides were seasoned to perfection and a culinary delight! I don’t know what kind of fairy dust the woman in the kitchen put in these pockets of heaven, but they were fantastic.
11/10—will definitely eat again.

Nice little place, asked what the servers favorite was and he turned me on to the charcoal chicken. It was great, better than Alpacas for me and the plate was a great deal. Those fries freaking rock! Will definitely come back.

This stop pretty much made the whole ride. @the_empanada_factory This place, in my opinion, get the Gold Star ⭐️ of the trip. Out of all our stops this one was the only one not planned, originally we stopped to go to the pastry store next to them, but when we pulled in our parking spot, we had to walk in here too! We ended up getting 3 empanadas to go, and they we perfectly cooked each on of them.
Additionally, it looks like the place has been renovated recently, and if I had the time, I would of been eating there all day!
If you ever find yourself in the Wake Forest (NC) area I highly recommend coming here!

Finally got to try the famous empanadas and yupppp worth every bit of it. The guava & cheese perfect type of desert. The jibarito yummmmmmm the food is delicious. If you want to try some well seasoned food. Must check it out. Prices are great too.
