Wow! As a foodie, I must admit a little hesitancy going to a restaurant attached to a gas station, as many times this has not resulted in a desired outcome. The Elk Room Restaurant exceeded all expectations. The owner, Joe, does it all and with a smile and humor that makes you feel right at home. I let him choose what I would eat (gumbo, brisket, green beans & baked beans) while my boyfriend stuck with his tried and true (pulled pork and fries). We were both very happy and full by the time we left. Great flavor profiles, nothing too salty or sweet. This man knows his way around the kitchen!! Joe knows the regulars by name, and I look forward to becoming one of them.

Our new local favorite! The owner is super friendly, and the food is SO good! We got take out, and everything was great. We live close by, and decided this will be our weekly place now. We tried the ribs, wings, onion rings, chicken tenders, and cheese sticks- highly recommend!

Door dash delivered our food. It was good but cold. Really cold. It popped up afterwards how was our service. We said it was good but cold. He immediately said . Your just complaining for no reason.not giving us chance tell the food was good. The delivery Door Dash was the problem. Anyway the food is good.

Unfortunately, this restaurant is permanently closed. Owner was great but the lack of help finally wore him down. I hope he is on to better things!! Waiting to see what is next.

I had an overall great experience here, the staff were nice, the food was great, and cheap, plus they give you 50 oz of whatever drink you choose, I will be coming back, and I recommend you try it!
