Modified a Southwestern wrap with Planet Tofu, and corn pasta. The food was amazing flavor; the service was friendly and inviting. Plenty of room inside and outside. Small menu, but diverse choices. Recommend to foodies looking for an alternative flare.

Sunday afternoon in Spokane and my husband and I were hungry! We didn’t want to go downtown to eat because we thought it would be busy and didn’t want to pay for parking so we decided to try Elk Public House. It was recommended by a local who is also a colleague of mine.
We arrived at around 1:15 and the place was crowded. Luckily we were able to find a booth right away. The vibe was good with football games being played on the TVs. There was a large bar area and lots of seating.
The service was a bit slow and it took about 5 minutes to actually be able to put our order in.The menu had some good options for my salad craving along with sandwich options, soups, wraps and entrees. They had a nice selection of beers, wines and cocktails too! My colleague recommended the Santa Fe Chicken Sandwich so my husband and I ordered that to share along with a whole order of the Southwestern Taco Salad. We didn’t add any protein to it, which is extra and it might have made the salad a bit heartier. We both ordered waters to drink and my hubby ordered the No Li Wrecking Ball Stout which he said was good. The food took a bit to come out but it was a busy Sunday so I get that.
So for my review of the food…The sandwich was so tasty! The chicken was tender and juicy and the breading wasn’t heavy nor was it greasy. It was served on a fresh brioche bun and had roasted poblanos, jack cheese, red onion, lettuce (which didn’t state that on the menu but we didn’t mind it) and a scrumptious honey cream cheese. We had a choice of potato chips (jalapeño, salt & vinegar, regular), potato salad or roasted corn pasta (which was recommended but my husband loves jalapeño chips so that’s what we ordered). I would order this again in a heartbeat and probably try the corn pasta salad and ask for additional honey cream cheese! Our salad was enormous and a half order might have worked but I was a bit hungry (I didn’t eat breakfast) so it was perfect. The salad was good (actually, just ok) and it reminded me of a salad I would get in a cafeteria. The corn was canned and the cheese tasted like shredded cheese from a bag. The chips were probably crushed no-name Doritos and the salad dressing wasn’t anything spectacular. The romaine was fresh and not wilted so that part was a plus. I eat/order a ton of salads so I will disclose that I am very picky about my salads so this review may be a bit harsh for some but for those of you who aren’t picky about your salads may be ok with this salad.
The service wasn’t the best either. Refilling our waters took awhile and we had to ask for it. Our server was not attentive to our needs in that regard and took a bit of time to come by and ask if our food was good.
All in all I would definitely come back for the chicken sandwich.

The menu is small but everything we ordered was very flavorful and delicious. The service was very friendly and professional. I liked that there are games available to play. It has a very home like feel. We are visiting from out of town and will have to come back next time we’re here.

This place is situated in Brown’s Addition, so the neighborhood is always fun to visit. The food is consistently great. It’s a good place to meet friends or also possibly to have a business luncheon. The staff is very friendly and the wait is never long. I highly recommend this! restaurant!

We hadn’t been to the Elk for quite awhile, and it was great! Warm enough to sit outside on the patio last Saturday night, and a personable delightful server. My husband ordered a SW chicken fettuccine and I ordered pork loin with Yukon spuds covered in a cream sauce. Delicious!

The food was pretty good. We had the pork tacos and the mushroom ravioli. Portion size was decent. The pasta dish was very tasty and the sauce was rich, although it could have been a bit hotter.

The atmosphere was busy but not crowded. Seemed very noisy though for the number of customers inside. Lots of available street parking in the neighbourhood.

Drink prices seemed a tad higher than comparable places serving the same drinks.

Overall I would visit again.

Great fish sandwich! Great potatoes salad. As a fisherman I have high standards for freshness, this delivers! Hands down best fish sandwich in Spokane. Not great parking, but worth parallel parking for!

We stopped here for a quick snack and a drink after scootering around in the heat. Drinks were good. And the whipped feta was sooo tasty. Only lost a star because the server was kind of rude. Felt like an inconvenience to him.

Went for dinner last night and it was great! Quick service and awesome recommendations my boyfriend had the fish sandwich from the specials and thought it was good, I had the meatloaf sandwich which was like a meatball sub but better! The corn pasta salad was a hit for both of us, both our plates were completely clear by the end! We will definitely be back again!
