After reserving a table about a week out and driving over an hour to get there, was very delighted with the food and experience at The Elephant. This is the best fine dining establishment outside of Wichita, KC, or Denver in the region. Cocktails are top notch, everything was quite unique, even some wine selections from Kansas.
I am always nervous about ordering steak in a restaurant due to being generally disappointed in the result. Got the bison ribeye and it was amazing. Buttery notes, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The Mrs had chicken parm with a creamy pesto risotto that was out of this world.
For the finale we opted for the smores dessert. It is a puff pastry with chocolate and marshmallow served on a smoked cedar plank with ice cream and chocolate sauce. For added effect, it is served flambeed at the table.
Can’t wait to go back, there are endless options for any palate on the menu that sound equally delicious. 10/10, highly recommend. Could this be the first possible Michelin star restaurant in Kansas?

Everything about The Elephant is perfect, in my opinion! From the atmosphere, to the wait staff, to the food and cocktails.. even the bathrooms are impeccable!! Everything we’ve tried on the menu has been wonderful and well worth every price point depending on our budget for the day or night! Cocktails are stunning and delicious… and very well thought through. You won’t go wrong with just about anything at The Elephant!!

Had a great night here. Beautiful place with a great atmosphere. We had brewhouse spicy avocado egg rolls for an appetizer, which were creamy and absolutely devine. I had the filet mignon, which was perfectly cooked medium rare and had a rich buttery taste and was extremely tender with a delicious baked potato mash and green beans. My girlfriend had the keto steak tacos that were delicious, but the steak was very chewy. We had a cheesecake drizzled in caramel, which was delicious, and tableside smores, which was lit ablaze upon placement on our table that was very rich and decadent. They had a few beers from around kansas (craft brews) and a myriad of mixed drinks (the italian expresso martini was my girlfriends favorite). I highly recommend this place for an elegant dinner in the boonies.

Positively the best kept secret of Kansas!! Great hospitality, menu that impresses, drinks galore!! So many innovative menu items, yet they somehow make you feel like home! This establishment was recommended to me by some colleagues and I have been here multiple times on my business trip already. I’ll be telling the world about this place because it’s just amazing!! Definitely the best dining experience of 2020. I promise that you won’t be disappointed with your meal. The hooligans that I dined with were impressed as well. Started planning a return trip before we even left the bistro! I had the barbeque shrimp and white cheddar grits. 10/10, wish I lived closer.

The first date my boyfriend and I went on was to The Elephant! Since then we have made the tradition of treating ourselves every Valentine’s Day and our anniversary every July. Such a rare gem in Western KS! By far one of the BEST places we have ever been to eat! The atmosphere, food, and drinks are all top-notch! We try to change our order every time we visit, and each time we are impressed. The rum punch and tajin pina colada are a must-try!

Wow! Just wow! What a treasure! Very nicely renovated building, excellent and I do mean excellent food and service. Had the brew house spicy avacado egg rolls as an app.
Entrees were the infamous cubano, signature burger and Asian lowmein bowl. Dessert was cheesecake and excellent coffee’s to go.
This place is about 17 miles off of interstate 70 in Hoxie KS but is so worth the side trip. I would recommend reservations. Will be going back!

The Elephant is the best restaurant in NW Kansas, in my opinion. I have eaten there several times, as well as just going in for a cup of coffee, and have loved my experience every single time! If you’re someone who loves experiencing new food combinations, you’ll love it. If you love a good steak, you’ll love it. If you’re someone who just loves a good vibe, you’ll love it. They also have amazing drink options + a coffee bar. If you’re in the area, you need to go! If you’re not in the area, you need to make a special trip! (:

Everything was absolutely wonderful! Their Sangria is some of the best we’ve ever had and their cheese grits are so good that they’re lick off the plate worthy! We’ve already made plans to come back.
