Let’s get started, on Friday the 14th Dana and Steven stopped in while attending the Alabama Fiber Festival at the Brewery next door on Friday for lunch. So glad we did their French Onion Soup was absolutely delicious and the Smash Burgers unbelievable. So good we went back on Saturday We had the Pub Sub and Macaroni n Cheese both delicious and Steven another bowl of French Onion Soup. Anytime we are in the are of this location or the other location this will be a have to stop in. Delicious food fun atmosphere and great staff.

Absolutely love this place! My gf recommended and I have been back since then at least 2 or 3 times. They have 3 different seating areas one inside and two patio areas one in the front and another in the back. You order at the bar and then have a seat wherever you like. The classic and the islander are both superb flatbreads, the bandit is a very delicious sandwich. The spark burger is a great smash burger definitely worth trying, and I always get a side of Mac n cheese ! They also have beer options!

Stopped by The Electric in Avondale and was honestly impressed. Grabbed a pub sub and the white chicken chili and both were fantastic. The sub was fresh, filling, and packed with flavor, and the white chicken chili was rich, comforting, and perfect on a cooler day. Great spot with a solid menu and a relaxed Birmingham vibe. I’ll definitely be back to try more.

New favorite spot! Looks like they’ve got a good spread of sandwiches, soup and salad. Really cool decor/vibe. I came in the winter but it looks like they’ve back patio is a solid spot as well. I got the Hedburg sandwich and salad.

French onions soup is the move! They were showing horror movies for Halloween on their tvs while I was there, which I thought was fun! Would definitely go back again with friends, or even just to enjoy by myself!

Hidden gem. We had The Hedberg, The Bandit and French Onion Soup. All delicious. Several TVs for sports. Nice covered patio in the rear. Friendly and helpful staff. If you are travelling on I-20, this is not too far off the Interstate. Would definitely return on my next time passing through.

This little sandwich shop is fantastic. The recipes are solid and they have a full bar. Its the perfect place to hit up for lunch or stop in on the way to a show. It’s also a great option if you’re next door at Cahaba and need a bite.

Great place, great vibes and everything but we got a problem with the food here. My date had a burger which was great, above average for sure, but the France onions soup was a disaster. The onions were not caramelized at all and they tasted as boiled. The consistency was not creamy, no bond between the onions and the broth. Yes the broth, the worse part of it: now I wasn’t expecting a broth made from scratch, but this tastes like the worse cheap cubes: salty water, and nothing else. To complete this masterpiece there was this side of bread/cheese combo just terrible. I mean you live in Birmingham, there are cool places where to buy a decent piece of bread and a decent piece of cheese, and then they need to be toasted right, but they weren’t.
Anyhow the problem here is that whoever decided to put this on the menu has zero idea what a France onions soup is, hence no idea how to cook one. It’s really not that difficult to learn how to make a decent and simple onions soup.

The Hedburg and the Bandit, as well as the burger, are all amazing. And of course the hummus and beer cheese. Really, you can’t go wrong. The staff are all friendly and it’s a great location! Highly recommend.
