went to this Ghanaian restaurant for the first time recently and the food was incredible. The place is clean and comfortable, and the ambiance was warm and inviting. Eleanor is incredibly attentive, friendly, and welcoming. She prepares all the dishes herself and the option I ordered came out fast and tasted delicious. Ghanaian food is full of flavor and Eleanor makes it just right !!

The food was delicious! I had the chicken with jollof rice! That rice took me somewhere else! I wanted to take an order to go but my wife said no! We ate in the restaurant and the ambiance was nice. The owner was quick to greet us and take our order. My son had the tilapia with banku and my wife had banku and okra. Everyone enjoyed the meal! They even give you a bowl to wash your hands! Definitely a must visit if you’re Ghanaian and missing home(my wife and son) or even if you want to give a cuisine from a different culture a try! I did and will definitely be back again! 5⭐

We had the Tilapia and the Okra Stew (with goat) with Banku. The kids got chicken tenders with fries because they’re picky eaters but even with that they enjoyed the tenders. The tilapia was huge and cooked to perfection. Meat was flaky but not dry. The goat was fall off the bone tender. Even my oldest son ate a bunch once he got the courage to try some which shows you how good the food was.
I would definitely go back again.

Eleanor’s is a little gem right off of the 6 train at the final stop/Pelham Bay Park. Eleanor served us and was super kind, helpful, and explained a lot about Ghanaian culture and food. I was lost on how to eat but she kindly helped us along! It was a very new culinary experience for a person me but I am very glad I stopped by and had a taste of Ghana! Portions were very large and generous as well

Eleanor literally cooks your meal. Great to meet the restaurant owner. She’s very friendly, and great chef. I recommend the piña colada cocktail, very delicious! Very sociable atmosphere.

I saw a lot of good things about this place on TikTok so I really wanted to come. I finally came today and it was honestly amazing. I came with a good friend who order the kenkey and fish which she liked and I order the light soup and fufu which was BOMB. The lady and her daughter were so nice to us and I think my little sister is her new best friend. I 10/10 would recommend for everyone to go here.

Atmosphere is so calm and welcoming. The service was amazing and the food… *Chefs kiss* I’m American so i had so many questions regarding the menu, and they were so patient with me and explained everything for me. The food was SOOOOOOOOO GOOD!!!! Omgsh it was simply amazing i had the jollof rice with the stew fish and i just want to say it was thee best food I’ve had in a long time, very beautifully designed restaurant. The 2 women were incredibly helpful and sweet. I told 4 people about it and i only left today love it there i absolutely will be returning. I didn’t get any pictures of my food because it was just that good lol. Just a reminder for those that may be allergic to shellfish they use shrimp seasoning in some of the foods so be sure to ask prior to ordering in case they forget to mention it.

All my time staying in this country. This is the best African restaurant I’ve eaten in so far. I was in in New York for 3 days business trip. A friend invited me out for lunch and we met at this restaurant. As we entered the restaurant, you can see right away is the cleaners and well maintained restaurant. I ordered waakye served with fish, goat meat, fried plantain, spaghetti and gari. I got a whole lot of food for just $27 and I enjoy every little bit of it.
I went back the next day to have banku and Okro stew for lunch for just $22. It was a big plate for that amount. I once again enjoyed the meal.
This is the restaurant I will recommend everyone to visit and try out try out their meal when you visit New York. Their food is so delicious and customer service is great.

Food was seasoned to perfection. The food was of Ghanaian cuisine. Ms. Eleanor was very sweet and cared about her craft of the food. She also explain to me what each dish was and the ingredients. Highly recommended eats!!
