My friend and I had dinner on Wednesday night. And they just launched their Fall menu. Highly recommend the Pumpkin tiramisu. So, keep that in mind when ordering food haha. We also had the roasted romanesco with king oyster mushroom as the appetizer 10/10. I would actually order that as my own dinner plate. So good! I had the beef rib bolognese served on pappardelle pasta. Also 10/10. Generous portion. For the drink, I had the laced lavender non-alcoholic from the Dry Bar menu. Perfect for Fall. My friend had the risotto (not pictured) and she said it was amazing!

hosted a bridal shower brunch here over the weekend, it was perfect! Christine, the events coordinator, was so helpful and kind. Our server was incredibly friendly and hard-working. The restaurant was able to configure their lounge area to accommodate our group. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious. Would love to host another event here in the future! And will be retuning for brunch 🙂

Mia M. helped us for dinner and she was fantastic! Very knowledgeable, attentive, and she was very nice. The food was great, wine and drinks were great! We had crab stuffed Dover, crab cakes, steak and salmon. It was our first time there. We’ll be back to try brunch.

The Eleanor Room will forever hold a special place in our hearts. We got engaged here on December 14, 2025, and the entire experience was absolutely incredible.

What made it even more special was how thoughtfully everything was handled. While we were outside in the igloo, I had no idea that our family was gathered inside—The Eleanor Room staff coordinated everything seamlessly and kept it a complete surprise. The igloo made the moment feel very special and unique, especially in December.

The staff went above and beyond to make the night unforgettable. They were welcoming, attentive, and genuinely excited for us. As an unexpected and incredibly kind gesture, they even gave us a gift card at the end as a congratulations, which meant so much to us.

If you’re looking for a beautiful space with outstanding service and a team that truly cares about creating memorable experiences, The Eleanor Room is an amazing choice. We couldn’t recommend it more and will always be grateful for the role they played in such a huge milestone in our lives.

I celebrated my birthday at The Eleanor Room in the heart of downtown Greendale and the experience was absolutely beautiful. The entire downtown Greendale atmosphere makes you feel like you’re on a little vacation. My cousin brought me here for my birthday and from the moment I walked into The Eleanor Room I felt welcomed. The hostess greeted me with a genuine smile, wished me a happy birthday, and seated us right away. When we got to the table there was a birthday plaque and a card waiting for me that had been signed individually by the staff. That thoughtful gesture truly warmed my heart. The Eleanor Room has such an intimate, warm, and inviting atmosphere. I loved the historic photos on the walls that highlight the charm and history of downtown Greendale. Our waitress was attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, and polite. She never made us feel rushed and even shared a few laughs with us, which made the experience even more special. For dinner I had the grouper served over asparagus, couscous, and quinoa topped with a lemon cream sauce. The way that dish danced on my palate was incredible. I also had the roasted Brussels sprouts for an appetizer, a perfectly balanced basil lemon drop, and a glass of champagne to toast the birthday. The Eleanor Room has definitely gained another loyal patron. I highly recommend it for birthday celebrations, date nights, solo dinners, or catching up with friends. I also noticed they serve brunch and the menu looks amazing, so I will definitely be back to experience brunch in downtown Greendale.

Stopped in for lunch at Eleanor Room and had a great experience. We sat at the bar — super chill atmosphere and the service was awesome. Everyone was really friendly and on top of things without being over the top.

We tried the deviled eggs (so good), short rib croquettes (crispy, rich, super flavorful), and the winter green salad with pears and dates, which was really fresh and balanced everything out nicely.

Really solid lunch, good vibes, and I’ll definitely be back to try more. A great little spot to have in Greendale.

Checked out The Eleanor Room for the first time last night and had a wonderful time.

The atmosphere is contemporary and comfortable. The only issue is the rechargeable lighting on the tables. The fixtures go well with the decor, but they need to be charged every day to insure they actually work when customers are seated.

Our server was Kennedy and she was great. She was friendly and welcoming, knowledgeable about the menu, and attentive throughout our dinner. Would definitely welcome having her as our server again.

The food. The food was delicious to put it mildly. In our group we ordered: French Onion Soup, Tagliatelle Verde with Scallops, Pork & Grits, Eleanor’s Fried Chicken x 2, and a Chocolate Martini. Everyone was very pleased with their choices. The pork was juicy and tender, the scallops – though it only came with 2 – were QUITE large, and the soup was noted as being one of the best French onion they’ve ever had (and they have it often). I was one of the fried chicken consumers and can it say it was amazing. Right down to the unique presentation. The other person said their white meat pieces were a little dry, but mine were super juicy and fall off the bone tender. The sides were delicious as well. My friend said the mashed potatoes were amazing and ate them all even though she’s not a potato kind of person. We both agreed the creamed corn side was fabulous. No mush as one typically imagines when they hear “creamed corned.” It was crisp kernels of corn in a flavorful cream sauce. I ate all my sides and 2 pieces of the chicken. I have the other two for lunch today. We would have liked to take a dessert home since we were too full to eat them there, but they are all made with ingredients that just wouldn’t hold up to the delay in consuming. I could see coming back to have a salad and a dessert to be able to try one.

Overall it was a great night out with friends enjoying great food.

Always a wonderful experience here and when my coworkers and I visited recently they were able to understand just exactly why. The Ember Melt was just what I was looking for. If it was that great during a warmer day I can only imagine how good it tastes in this chilly weather!
