I was craving for shawarma and looked up online, I saw this place and specifically Egyptian taste, didn’t hesitate to call them, they said it would be ready in 10-15mins, I was there in 8 mins and right on time they packed it.
The lady in the truck is very friendly, polite and customer centric, I loved the shawarma eating after 3 hours reheated and still feel the flavors and that special Egyptian style (I am stressing out on Egyptian style because Ioved the shawarma made by a guy from Egypt in Seattle, WA and never found same taste again until today.
Wonderful ambiance and truck is parked at right spot! Must try and price is reasonable too

Good food, especially the chicken and lamb kabob, the kunefa is excellent not too sweet and made with Ghee. Definitely has a nice home cooked taste. And I appreciated it being available on Christmas day. The owner was very nice and accommodating. I would eat there again.

Wow! I am impressed by my experience in this place. You will really “eat like an Egyptian” here!
It is really authentic homemade egyptian food. It’s the typical food you will eat in an Egyptian home cooked by an Egyptian mom.
I like the hawawshii so much. Meat is well seasoned and wrapped in a fresh yummy dough. I like the rice pudding for the dessert. The nuts on the top are perfectly roasted and make it extra delicious. I also liked the stuffed grapes.
Owner is so kind and welcoming. And food was prepared so fast. I will definitely come back!

This place made me fall in love with koshari, so for that I am forever grateful . I encourage everyone reading to try koshari at least once. It is the most comforting unique blend of flavors that I have ever experienced. It’s spicy and vinegary while also creamy and tomatoey. It’s just got everything you need to make you smile.

Great authentic Egyptian food (truck)!Just like my family from Cairo would make. We had the grape leaves and bashmal (basically an oven baked pasta+meat casserole with a béchamel crust- highly recommend for anyone new to Egyptian food). These were better than I can make myself! I also like how they put the béchamel in small tins so you could reheat in the oven if you want. We also had the kofta with rice (my favorite rice so far) and the tahini was fantastic. Definitely bringing my Egyptian family and non-Egyptian friends so they can try real Egyptian food when they visit. Really easy to get to through the TJ maxx lot.

Tried this food truck to have kebobs tbh lol. Kofta over Rice was better than the chicken kabab. The chicken was overwhelmingly cooked with different Mediterranean spices. Both the chicken and kofta were dry and a little overcooked. I usually love kabab/kofta when those are juicy inside and crispy outside. Not such a good food experience for me.

This is an update to my previous review. I dropped my rating to 3 from 5. They just kept getting worse over the last two years. First kababs became dry, then they started to burn everything. Today just had hawawshi hoping it will be better. Unfortunately, it is not rven edible. I am very sad but this place is not an option for us anymore. I tried so many times. This is not Egyptian food.
Old review:
Good but can be great. I gave 5 start because there is no 4.5 and 4 would be unfair to the food. Everything we tested, Koshri, hawawshi, kofta kebab they all tasted great. However, Koshri is too expensive for what it is. This is the cheapest convenience food in Egypt, no meat, hard to justify buying it again for the saem price. Hawashi is tasty but they burned it while warming up and tasted bitter. They need a panini maker. I wished they had some salad with kebab instead of just rice. It just doesn’t compliment well. Koshri would have been great substitute may be for a dollar more charge? Overall, I am happy they opened this food truck in Knoxville, we will be visiting again.

Authentic Egyptian food done right. Bold flavors, fresh ingredients, generous portions, and friendly service. Nothing fancy—just seriously good food. A must-try.
