The onsite restaurant at the Lodge felt like a little reward waiting at the end of the boat tour. We arrived at just the right moment and were seated immediately, as if the table had been quietly saved for us. As a local, it’s always a delight to stumble upon a place that feels both welcoming and a bit magical, the kind you’d happily return to again and again.
The dining room itself was charming, clean, and spacious, with sunlight drifting in through the windows and giving everything a gentle glow. It felt unhurried and comfortable, the sort of place where conversations linger and lunch turns into a pleasant pause in the day.
Our server, Lucas, was a polite and respectful young man who greeted us with a warm smile and easy conversation. He helped us settle in by the windows, and his calm, attentive manner set the tone for the whole meal.
The menu featured seasonal, local, and healthier options, which was refreshing to see. We were given plenty of time to choose, and Lucas checked in at just the right moments, offering help without hovering. When the food arrived, it was quick and still hot. The cheeseburger was moist, well seasoned, and full of flavor, with fresh, crisp garnish. The seasoned fries were so good they nearly stole the show.
It was one of those quietly enchanting meals that reminds you how nice simple things can be when done well. Lucas paid attention to the little details, and we left feeling genuinely cared for … and more than happy to leave him a generous tip.
We’re already looking forward to returning, if only to try the desserts we skipped on this visit.

A beautiful old style dining room at Wakulla Lodge. The dining staff both nights were very friendly. Great service by both.

The Lodge is an often overlooked dining experience in Wakulla, right at Wakulla Springs.
We almost always get steaks (I get the ribeye and my wife prefers the filet) with loaded baked potato and often a caeser salad. You can add 6 fried shrimp to your steak…..just saying. The pecan pie is great!
There is a nice cocktail/beer/wine list as well.
The dining room has a chill vibe and the adjacent main hall/fireplace/seating area has an old southern charm.
After dinner, if you skip dessert, go next door to the parlor and get a ince cream, sundae, or fizz.
You can walk down and swim or just check out the water.
Also, if you turn in your park entrance receipt, they take it off the bill.

We wanted a low key anniversary dinner and made a reservation. The front gate was open since it was past park hours. Our dinner was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed the all you could ear shrimp Friday and the smoked fish dip. Thank you for a lovely evening. The ambience is very old fashion and the service traditional. This is a nice change. We will be back!

With its beautiful atmosphere and classic southern food, this place is a time capsule of a bygone era. It’s a wonderful getaway whether you’re making a day trip or staying in the lodge. Everything we ordered was made to perfection from the fried green tomatoes to my boyfriend’s Old Fashioned, and our seat by the window overlooking the springs was the perfect backdrop for the afternoon. They have specials throughout the week like Fried Shrimp Friday and Burger Tuesday, and they also have special dining events for holidays. Wonderful place to celebrate a special event, go on a date, or just get away and relax. Our server was lovely and made sure everything was perfect.

Waited for a very long time at the main dining entrance without acknowledgment. When we were being walked to our table, there was food everywhere on the floor. Once seated it took a very long while to be greeted and served, even though the waitress was nice. We ordered fried pickles and crab cakes as an appetizer, which were okay in taste. My s/o ordered the prime rib special and said it tasted horrible. I ordered the panhandle chicken which tasted really eggy. There were unfortunately tons of flies inside, And while eating you could be overwhelmed by the smell of cleaning chemicals because the buser was spraying the chemicals directly onto the tables and you chose see it misting in the air instead of on the towel then wiping the table.

SERVICE SERVICE SERVICE!!!!! my gosh the service here was amazing and they treated me like a queen.(well I am a pageant queen) BUT GUYSSS GET DOWN HEREEEE it’s Classic, elegant, and full of charm. Dining here feels like stepping into history. The setting alone is worth it, and the food makes the experience even better!!!

I have been to Wakulla Springs many times only to swim. I had no idea, until my most recent visit, that there is a wonderful restaurant and gift shop there! We went to the lodge to buy our boat tickets, and oh my goodness, what a beautiful lodge! It felt like stepping into the 1800s, with the murals and wrought iron chandeliers on the ceiling, dark furniture and big chess boards. A young man played the grand piano. The gift shop had some fun stuff-shirts, candles, snacks, coffee mugs, etc., but it was a little pricey.
A thunderstorm came up so my fiancé and I went to the restaurant without reservations, and we were seated by a window where we watched the heavy rain. We ordered crab cakes, the brisket sandwich, and tirimisu. All wonderful. Our server was phenomenal as well.
The day there could not have been more relaxing and perfect. I highly recommend!
