Staff was nice and amazing. First time visiting the place as I’m from WV, we were here visiting family. The patty melt was AMAZING and you can never go wrong with chicken liver. It tasted SOO good. Very clean and organized place and area. Will come back again and definitely recommend to others if they’re visiting.

We LOVE the food!! The staff is amazing! Well priced and a variety of items to choose from. There’s a ton of pros and only a few minor cons (only payment method is cash and sometimes the inside wait time can be a little lengthy). These things are far outweighed by the yummy food though! If you’re looking for the best hamburger steak you’ve ever had, look no further!! You’re at the right place.

My recommendation is to call ahead to order your food so it can be ready when you arrive. Otherwise, you might be waiting awhile for your food. The restaurant is very small with not many tables. Parking lot is very small too. One note the prices are great and the food was good too.

It’s a local joint with simple fare to be honest, but the ample portions are tasty and very affordable. The employees are sweet and friendly, and you can tell that they enjoy what they do. We had the fried shrimp plate and a Philly steak sandwich, and they were excellent. We will definitely be frequenting them!

So glad The Eating Place has finally opened their doors..Although it’s limited seating. There is still plenty of room. Best place to get a hamburger or hamburger steak plate. Hot dogs are great. Fresh salads are good too. Everything I’ve ever ordered was very tasty.

In town for a couple of days on Lake Secession with the family. Looking for a dinner I did not have to cook myself and stumbled upon this location. Showed up at 6:50 pm to be greeted kindly. Food was great! My husband and I shared a Philly cheesesteak that was excellent. Onion rings were fried to perfection. My daughters had the cheese burger and chicken melt with frozen fries. The sandwiches were excellent and the fries were decent. My husband also ordered wings which were hot and crispy! The coleslaw was fantastic. Great prices, great service, great food! Then to top it off, my daughter and I tried to split and banana split… omg! You can not go wrong with this!!! So so so overwhelmingly good!!!
