We hosted our wedding reception of about 50 guests in the Hideaway Lounge last week, and it was truly the best, most fun night we could have imagined and hoped for ourselves! Kristina and the rest of the East Ender team truly made all of our small wedding dreams a reality. They were flexible and creative, but most importantly kind. They were well staffed the night of, and all of our guests have been gushing all week about what a great time they had. We would do it all over again in a heart beat. Thank you!

This place has an excellent vibe, and the food was outstanding. As someone who eats out a lot in Portland, I think this place is top 3 for overall value. Prices were low, food was excellent, and portions were plentiful. We will definitely be back soon.

The saffron risotto is incredible, one of the best dishes I have ever enjoyed. I also loved the fabulous sour dough toast and dip.The woman behind the bar is talented too. Great atmosphere. Can’t say enough about the East Ender. I was so lucky to find it!

Downstairs is peak. The karaoke is amazing, the vibe is great, and just overall fun.
Tho upstairs is weird if you’re solo. It’s an unwritten thing I guess that upstairs is meant for groups or couples. If you go alone you’re treated awkwardly. I just wanted to eat something and wasn’t able to find a spot downstairs. the bartender/server looked at me like I had 5 heads and practically ignored me the whole time. Great food tho.

I really would give 3.5 stars based on my only experience there: the Brussels sprouts are absolutely delicious and the curly fries are worth making a visit for on their own. My boyfriend enjoyed his burger and the Caesar salad was yummy. I did not enjoy the fish chowder it was odd and extremely salty. Could be personal preference I will say it did have a LOT of fish which is good I just didn’t like it. My Diet Coke was $3 and un-carbonated flat syrup which was disappointing. The vibe is really cute and cozy. Lastly, the service was mediocre at best. It felt like we waited a long time and the server wasn’t particularly friendly or welcoming (she seemed like she’d rather be anywhere else).

3-4 Small raised tables and bar with upstairs karaoke spot at night. Great food, we went because of menu online and it did not disappoint! Fresh lemonade not too sweet and the biggest and best chicken sandwich I’ve had in a long time!! Very unique finish with the curry mustard. Mom had the Fish Fry and the potatoes were amazing and not overly salty. Server was patient and kind. Will definitely go back!

Great service, delicious cocktails, and food! Our waitress shared that the menu was recently changed so it wasn’t what we expected from the online reviews, but we were not disappointed one bit with our orders! I got the braised short ribs with housemate chips and it was amazing. My boyfriend got the burger and fries (it had a fancier name) and was very pleased. Cocktails were unique and tasty! Great atmosphere. We sat at a window booth upstairs and enjoyed the view. Thank you!

We stopped here for drinks and apps while waiting for Duck Fat next door, and was pleasantly surprised with their offerings. Rotating local IPA’s and cocktails on the menu. Fresh, local oysters are available here, and we also had their deep fried deviled eggs. Those were good enough to make me want to come back here for an entree sometime… We sat at a window area and didn’t get to check out the inside too much, but it was comfy.

This was a little gem to stumble upon!!! Initially we were a tad confused on how to get to the restaurant which was actually upstairs. RUN, don’t walk… to the smash burger!!!! YOU GUYSSSS….. best burger ever… with like homemade pickles? Amazing. The fries and crispy potatoes paired with the star of it all, AMAZING homemade ranch! And a pickle. I already can’t wait to go again!
