Always a favorite stop in Louisville! Their chicken and sides always taste great. I like that you can pick and choose what parts of the chicken to order. Their mac and cheese was also fantastic. We sat outside at the bar and had a great night. Loved the maple old fashions.

The food was amazing. We got the burnt pork butt ends as our snack and they were mouth watering amazing. For dinner with got 1/2 chicken with macaroni & cheese. Best fried chicken and I have never had macaroni and cheese this good. Highly recommend. Excellent prices and great service. Try one of their root beers they have on tap too!

We stopped in for dinner. It’s out first time. Our server explained that everything is a shareable size. For 4 adults we ordered a whole chicken, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, spoonbread, and the pork burnt ends. It was more than enough food and we even took some home. Everything was really good. We were there about an hour.

Have had mixed experiences here. This time we ordered carry out , southern salad with fried chicken. Received a salad with cold, bland, not fried chicken. Not going to spend another 40 minutes to go back for a corrected order. Really disappointing when you don’t get what you order and what you do get isn’t very good. Ticket was correct but order was wrong.

The Eagle in Louisville is a solid spot if you’re craving fried chicken. The chicken was tasty, nothing over the top, but definitely good—and not dry at all, which I appreciated. The beer came out nice and cold, which hit the spot. Overall, it’s an affordable place with good food and a laid-back vibe.

My wife and I were finally able to come here on a date. We had a wonderful time. Our food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend getting the cornbread with maple syrup and the cheddar shrimp and grits. I got the Maple Old Fashioned, and my wife got the alcoholic blackberry lemonade, both of which were perfect. Our server, Teddy, was very attentive and made some great recommendations. We will definitely be back.

Food: The spoonbread (sweet cornbread with maple butter) lives up to the hype. The fried chicken is delicious too. I didn’t want the spicy honey that it comes with, so they offered me regular honey instead. It’s a fantastic pairing.
Service: One of the nicest and most attentive servers I’ve ever had at a restaurant.
Atmosphere: Rustic and bare bones vibe. Not super comfortable chairs, but it was a relaxed atmosphere.
Restrooms: Clean and well stocked.
Parking: Street parking.
