The Dutch Pot Jamaican Restaurant began in 1998 after two friends lost their jobs. They started cooking and delivering meals to friends and family, with word spreading quickly. Using a makeshift setup in their backyard, they cooked authentic Jamaican cuisine. As demand grew, they opened their first restaurant. The Dutch Pot soon became a favorite for Jamaican food in the tri-county area. Now, with nine locations from West Palm Beach to Miami Gardens, they offer the best taste of Jamaica in South Florida. Services include pick-up, delivery, and catering. Their commitment to excellent service and delicious food has made them popular among locals and visitors alike, inviting everyone to experience authentic Jamaican flavors.

We walked into The Dutch Pot Jamaican Restaurant and immediately noticed the long line—always a good sign that the food is worth the wait. It took about 20-25 minutes just to place our order during lunchtime, but in the end, it was absolutely worth it.
I ordered the Oxtail with veggies instead of rice, though most other customers seemed to prefer their meals with rice. The staff was generous with the oxtail sauce, making the dish look even more delicious—and it did not disappoint. The oxtails were tender, flavorful, and came in large, satisfying bites. Highly recommended!
I also ordered patties with my meal, but they were just okay. The flavor didn’t stand out as much as I hoped.
One great addition was their selection of juices in the fridge. I grabbed a soursop juice, and it was incredibly refreshing—perfect for balancing out the rich flavors of the meal.
The restaurant has plenty of seating if you’re dining with a coworker or a friend. It’s located in a busy plaza with ample parking and a variety of other stores nearby, including a grocery store, pho restaurant, smoke shop, and AutoZone. If you have the time to wait, the food is definitely worth trying!

Went in fo pick upr to go because I had family in townn and wanted them to try Jamaican food. It was way before dinner so not busy. Was barely acknowledged. I felt like we got the end of leftovers & the portion size was very small.
However the Jamaican Bakery in the same plaza had the BEST patties!!

We visit this location for the first and last time today. We spend $69.00 for some flavorless rice and peas and oxtails that were cut in half surrounded by smaller pieces, unseasoned curry chicken and brown stew chicken. The waiter seemed annoyed when preparing our food. The other waitress gorgeous B was friendly but was busy holding conversations with her coworkers. We should have ordered a large rice platter because that’s exactly what we received. We will gladly drive to a different location where the food is actually good and minus the attitude.

Rude servers. I went to get macaroni and the lady took over from the other young lady serving me and took 4 macaroni and the woman she got this for didn’t want this many, she was rude to me & the young lady serving me because I requested a different piece. I would never let her touch anything, if I ever return, bad experience. The macaroni didn’t even taste good. I threw it in the garbage.

Horrible customer service from lady in black shirt today. Asked for a change of rice (white rice- rice and peas) and the lady acted like i inconvenienced her so much. The other lady was nice though only reason i’m leaving 3 stars. Do better.

I am so disappointed with this company and their steady decline. To think that this was a amazing place to go and get authentic Jamaican food which it still is I just feel like the flavors and the food has lost that authentic Jamaican taste and authenticity. I went in there today. No one greeted me The place was pretty empty. I ordered a mini fry with rice&peas , plantain with oxtail gravy on the rice, and when I ate the food, it was cold, not an enjoyable experience. The only thing that would save my meal Today was the sorrel!!! It was pretty good !! Dutch pot you guys have to do better.

Ordered a small cow foot and paid $13.91 for a box of rice and 3 pieces of bone. .i was told they were instructed to give 3 pieces for small and 5 pieces for large.. come on y’all have to remember cow foot is mostly bone.. i still purchased the food cause she alre Shared it and i didn’t want to be difficult. But honestly I’m disappointed.

I went twice. The first time I ordered the mini fried chicken with white rice , salad and I added curry chicken gravy all over. It was delicious .
My second time I only bought 2 mild beef patties, the employee Shanice served me, her service was amazing. The patties were so good I went back in and bought another 1 . Definitely worth it to me .
