Dunes is a wonderful restaurant! Food, service, and atmosphere- everything is amazing! Our server, Austin, did a fabulous job and was very accurate and quick. We ordered 3 omelets and 2 breakfast biscuits. The Omelettes were the Western, Farmers, and Crab! All 3 were delicious. The biscuits are amazing! If you haven’t tried Dunes before, give it a go! You won’t regret it!!

Amazing !!!! Food is the best ever. Everything was hot and fresh. The service was spot on! The mixed drinks are NOT watered down they are great. Prices are fantastic. Val, our waitress was one of the best I’ve ever had. She was very attentive and had a very nice disposition. I would highly recommend this place.

Above average local breakfast spot. Super cute gift shot with lots of nik-nak’s for sale. The bar area looked interesting, I would like to go there during the night and people watch the locals. Service was excellent. I really enjoyed the corn beef hash patty, interesting to say the least. Very good. Waffle was yummy. An often overlooked item is the syrup, A+++++++.

This place is always slammed busy! Very popular spot huge restaurant with all the classic breakfast foods. Service was pretty good, we had 40 min wait on Sunday morning around 10:30am and it took awhile for our food to come out but our server checked on us often. French toast was good. Grits were a bit bland.

I was in nags head with my wife and had the opportunity to eat again at the dunes. I again was super pleased. My wife super pleased as well. I am confident whatever you order will taste excellent. Everything has a freshness about it. ENJOY!

I’ve come here every once in a while for a few years with my family and it’s never been disappointing. Today we went for breakfast, and our waitress Sarah was very nice! You can tell she’s a hard worker.

Food was great. The restaurant was very crowed when we arrived. The said we could sit at the bar and order to avoid the wait. We took their advice and it was a good decision. Great service.

It was a very mediocre experience(as far as the dinner was concerned) a lot of people say the breakfast is great. All of us ordered a broiled platter which included scallops, shrimp and flounder. The entire platter was pretty bland overall, and lightly seasoned with what I’m pretty sure was old bay just sprinkled on top. The shrimp and flounder were ok, the scallops on the other hand were VERY overcooked. They were dry and had a rubber like texture. I have had plenty of broiled platters from other restaurants that would put this place to shame. The service was also touch and go the waitress we had was either to busy or just didn’t care enough to worry with us, we had to keep reminding her that we asked for things. The atmosphere was ok, they had a price tag on everything but the tables and it almost seemed to me like they were interested in selling items ( Paintings, hand bags, etc more than food. When we were done eating the waitress found time to ask us how our meal was and when we told her all she said is I’ll let them know. And no we did not eat the scallops. They did not offer to fix us new ones or even take them off the bill. I would not recommend this place unless some changes are made.

We met up with family in Nags Head for a short vacation. We had a medium-size group out for dinner along with small children. The Dunes was so accommodating to us. We had a reasonable wait time. Once we were seated, service was quick and excellent. The food was great and everyone enjoyed what they got. For the ones who enjoyed a drink, the beer selection was perfect. We will come here again in the future when we are in town.
