The best dumpling I have in Portland. I like it so much. The Shanghai bok choy so good, full of wok air. The Tom yum sauce for the dumplings is innovating and refreshing.

Mixed emotions!
First the bad:
$14 for 8 dumplings is ridiculous. Esp at a food kiosk, dintaifung charges less per dumpling.
Regular dishes don’t come with rice. What blasphemy is this. And at $2.50. Brings the cost of most dishes closer to $20/plate. How can you offer traditional authentic Chinese food and then break the unspoken tradition by charging for rice. Please change this ASAP. $2.50 for rice is criminal.
The good:
As everyone else have stated the food tastes good. It’s authentic, nothing wrong with it. And if ur target is upper class white ppl then great. But that’s not the charm of good Chinese food. It’s supposed to taste great and also be affordable so that you can crave it and want it all the time.
No signage on the exterior building at all. Please have your staff eat all the food. It’s embarrassing when they admit they havnt tried anything.
Please rethink ur business model. I want you to succeed. There needs to be exterior signage that there is life in this building. I’m clearly not wrong as the only customer on a Saturday afternoon. And for all of my fellow Chinese customers sake.. Give rice with entrees. Ur ancestors are ashamed!

Tried the Chongqing hot chicken — super crispy, spicy, and full of flavor. Can’t wait to try more. So happy to have a great new spot in the neighborhood!

Really good authentic chinese food in Happy Valley- so glad they opened up! Fried rice is yummy (not the type covered in soy sauce) and dumplings taste fresh (not frozen). Not cheap but the portion size for entrees is fair and quality is good, not greasy. Size of prawns is good too. The workers are always friendly and helpful. No complaints at all- eat here almost once a week. More like a 4.5.

Absolute fail. Went on my lunch break and ordered one of the simplest dishes and was told “18 minutes “ . Over 20 minutes later once the server decided to get off his lunch break / chat session he tells me “sorry it’s gonna be another 6 minutes “ . So basically I can get my lunch and not eat it. Was offered something else in exchange …Dude I don’t have time to wait for my original order much less another order. Just admit you either forgot to enter my order or were too busy yapping with your pals to check on the food. Oh and no refund either …great. I look forward to seeing what will replace this restaurant in a Month

I get the green bean dish at every Chinese restaurant that has it. This is truly one of the best I’ve had. I’m also not big on ordering chow mein, but we tried it here and it was a n shockingly tasty. The whole dish had a smoky wok flavor that was irresistible. We also had the pan fried pork and chive dumplings with the curry sauce – excellent combination of flavors there. Love this place and excited to have another venue with excellent Chinese food!

The dumpling boys is bland at best I recently ordered a few dishes from Uber eats like everything we order i tend to be a little relaxed in my judgment due to travel time. So I wont complain about dishes being cold or soggy that is the price of having to wait 30 to 45 min for any travel time food. Where I will complain is that dumpling boys taste like what white Midwesterns think asian food taste like, their food is bland and chewy from the sesame chicken that I nearly cracked a tooth attempting to eat and chew to the beef and green bean that felt like it was over cooked 2 days prior the chewy green onion bread that i couldnt bite into everything was for lack of better words gross except the wanton with chili that was pretty good but needed more spice. I dropped over 100 dollars on 2 things of dumplings wanton green onion bread sesame chicken and beef and greenbean dishes which in my opinion far over priced for such garbage food. Save your money your time and your stomach order elsewhere.

These guys are great!! I came in to try their food when there happened to be an internet outage almost city wide. When they realized I had no cash and couldn’t purchase lunch there, they made a $30, 2-course lunch for me, for free. They didn’t even skimp on the shrimp. To me that says everything about this place and it’s owners!! Thanks Dumpling Boys!!

I have been looking forward to trying this place when the Happy Valley Food Hall opened again. I ordered crab puffs and pan seared black pepper beef dumplings with mala sauce on the side. Everything turned out amazing and fresh. I will definitely be a repeat customer! Unfortunately, I did not take pictures to show how good everything looked! This is definitely a must stop if you are looking for fresh dumplings! They also sell other dishes such as stir fried dishes and Xiao Long Bao! You won’t be disappointed when you come here.
