Our family loves the Dugout! You get very generous portions for your money. Sandwiches are cooked to order and come out hot and fresh. I ordered the “small” banana split and it was enormous. The breaded tenderloin is my favorite and is big enough for 2+ meals

It was great! I got a burger meal and the cheeseburger was great in fact the BEST. The fries were a little too salty but good. Then I got a free kid cone. But the reason why it is 4 stars is because on the walk home I got icecream on my new shoes and shirt.But overall great.

A small place to eat in otterbien . A good “go to” place to eat. Place your order outside, pay, and they give you a ticket when food is done they yell out the number. I had a pork burger and it was good.

I was pleasantly surprised by the food here. We ordered the cheeseburger baskets and the cheeseburgers were more than a decent size,had a flame broiled flavor to them, really tasty, the fries given in each basket were enough for two people.
We went back later for ice cream cones, they did not disappoint,ha.

Like their predecessors, inconsistency will be their demise. One day a large dish of soft serve will feed two adults, the next visit, it won’t feed a small child. Twice this season we have had to go up and ask about our food and they have turned around and grabbed it at the window and gave it to us lukewarm. ??? why did you ask for a name if you’re not going to call it?
Update: Nothing has changed this year. The same inconsistency that makes you typically just drive on by and avoid the frustration.
2025 update: 4 visits and 3 disappointments. It has been remodeled, and the staff is friendly but very unorganized. I never see an adult, but maybe it is just poor timing. Anyway, I think we are done here for the year. Linden is just a little bit further for us.

So happy this is open! We love to drive out and enjoy a cone or shake. They have a fun selection. This time we ordered dinner first. I had a BLT and the hubby had chicken fingers and we shared an order of fries. The service was helpful and prompt and the food was very good. Prices are very reasonable.
There is limited seating in a covered picnic area. Most people seem to order and go. Super casual, friendly and fun. A local treasure!

Wow, the food was really tasty. Breaded tenderloin, crunchy, not one of those big as your head sandwiches, but plenty big. Very good. The fries were perfect. Crispy and even though everything was fried nothing was greasy. I would say it is a little too expensive for what it is, but my food I enjoyed very much.

“Last Friday, my fiancé and I had a wonderful time at The Dugout. The atmosphere was fantastic, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly, and we were pleased to learn that the beef was sourced from a local farmer. I highly recommend giving it a try!”
