The food was solid overall. We ordered the Kala Mule ($14) and international dateline ($10) for drinks, along with the gochujang tteokbokki ($24), grilled duck rice bowl ($39), and typhoon fries ($12). The grilled duck was cooked beautifully to medium-rare perfection, but the rest of the rice bowl was underwhelming. While the dishes were filling, the flavors didn’t quite live up to expectations. The typhoon fries, however, were delicious and perfect for sharing.
The atmosphere was both beautiful and cozy, but the noise level was overwhelming — a mix of loud conversations and music that made it hard to relax. The tables were packed so tightly that it felt cramped. At one point, a family seated beside us had their daughter knock over the candle on our table, and her sleeve even ended up in my entrée.
The staff were friendly and attentive throughout the meal, though we ended up waiting quite a while for the check. The restaurant was absolutely packed, which likely contributed to some of the chaos.
If you’re sensitive to noise or prefer a calmer dining experience, it’s best to visit during a slower time — like a weekday lunch instead of a busy evening. For us, it was a one time experience, and we won’t be returning.
The staff were very nice and had great insights on the menu. We got brunch with appetizers and dessert. Everything was delicious
The lumpia and typhoon fries were excellent appetizers, well sized to split between two people.
I got the steak loco moco, it was prepared perfectly and all the flavors blended well. Other members of my party get the spam and egg donburi, togarashi karaage and waffle, and the breakfast buttie. Everyone was very happy with their meal.
The ube flan for dessert was delicious and rich but not at all heavy.
Highly recommend!
This was the first restaurant to take it seriously.
The bar tender Walter and the manager worked together to create a custom menu for me. This made ordering so much easier. I’m usually hesitant to go somewhere new due to my limited options but just because of this, the Duchess will be a new rotation for us. Not to mention we both loved what we ordered, I got the chicken sando and my husband got the pub meal of the day which was a beef pot pie. 10/10 experience.
Kudos to the chef and staff! We definitely will be back to try some of the other cocktails and dishes.
We both ordered mocktails, and the Aloha Cooler was a standout, but all the drinks were bright and aesthetically pleasing.
Our service was impeccable, with our server doing a great job of describing the menu items and helping with recomendations, and the support team clearing plates to provide space right as it was needed. No water glass ever reached below half full.
Now…the food…WOW!
Between the two of us we ordered 7 dishes and shared everything, as that’s how the menu is set up. Each dish was as good or better as the last , and by the end the bar was high! Everything was also brought out piping hot which is impressive considering how busy it was and how many dishes we ordered. The Pancit and the Crispy Shrimp and Corn patties were probably are favorites but if you asked me tomorrow I may say the Shortrib Kate Kare. The fish & chips were also stellar. Really cannot wait to get back and try so much more of the menu.
The prices for the amount of food and great flavor were extremely reasonable.
My friends just moved to Baltimore and haven’t really explored the area so we treated them to brunch here and it was so delicious.
We started with the fries which were so damn good they stood no chance against us.
My boyfriend and I got the mimosas which were also yummy and after two of them I was
And to share my boyfriend and I split the ube pancakes and steak rice which I wish I was eating right now it was soooo gooood.
The wait staff was super friendly and helpful and the manager Tess was awesome.
I will absolutely be coming back next time I visit and I think everyone needs to come here if youre visiting Baltimore
