Great find in downtown Wilkes-Barre. Vibe is terrific. A place like you might find in a bigger city but its here. Decor is very cool. Menu is a good mix of casual fare and dinner entrees. The casual items are somewhat like bar food but kicked up a level. Sandwiches are a notch above “normal” and provide upscale options. Entrees are also uniquely crafted. Pics are the crab dip and the Cuban sandwich. Great choice for dinner!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I stopped in for a drink and apps and left impressed. The expreso martini was with love, the Bang Bang shrimp was delicious, and the chicken nachos had the perfect kick. Definitely a spot I’ll be back to.

Dined here for NYE. Cute atmosphere, friendly staff, great choice of cocktails and good food! They have igloo dining here and though we didn’t try that, it looks fun! Worth a stop here!

This is a very unassuming place from the outside, but we decided to stop here for dinner and we’re very glad that we did. Their burgers are probably the best we’ve ever had. The patties are extremely well seasoned and everything was just excellent.

The service was very friendly and the interior (especially the back room) is out cool.

We will absolutely be back and highly recommend this restaurant!

You Need To Know? Arrived with reservations for 6:30 & we were seated immediately. The service was friendly, helpful, & she had awesome recommendations. We had the mac & cheese with chicken, the French dip which was juicy & flavorful, sweet corn rissotto with chicken & sweet corn rissotto with scallops. Food was fantastic & the restaurant frequently updates it’s menu. If your in the Wilkes Barre Area looking for a great bite to eat give The Down Pour a gooooo! Now You Know! -TBH

Unique and interesting menu. This is a place that offers a one-of-a-kind menu. We had the fried green tomatoes, Buffalo chicken pretzels, watermelon feta salad, and Chicago beef sandwich. All were good but I highly recommend the Chicago beef sandwich and fried tomatoes. The service was good. They were busy but didn’t miss a beat. The atmosphere is so comfortable and memorable. Most notable is the umbrella room. Totally worth the visit.

I had reservations this past Saturday. It wasn’t busy. We were seated right away. Unfortunately, the menu does not match the menu posted on the website. My husband has a shellfish allergy and there was an overabundance of shellfish on the menu. After some discussion, we decided to leave because he didn’t feel safe eating there. Mind you, this discussion took 10 minutes and no one stopped by our table. As the minutes passed, I was all for it, since zero service at our table.

We had birthday dinner. The food and drinks were good. At the end of the night we all gathered our cash to pay the bill we gathered the funds and rounded up to the nearest 5$. The waitress Sydnee came to the table she stated “this is missing money” and she threw the envelope on the table in an aggressive manner. This was completely inappropriate and classless. The food and atmosphere was dimmed due to her antics. Teach your staff soft skills.

The atmosphere and waitress was really nice. The food was good but pretty pricey. I ordered a piece of toasted s’mores cheesecake to go and I think someone accidentally put salt instead of sugar in the crust. It was so salty that I had to throw it out.

Excellent ambience and service. The food wasn’t “bad” but for $ can do way way better in the area from too many places. First timer – I will not be back. Disappointed to find out my 30 some dollar salmon (brown sugar) was served with a pretty yucky sauce that tasted like straight mustard. I hated the sauce, everything else was above average quality and taste (priced as if it should be excellent, which I expected.) Sat in area with hanging lights (so cool) and staff was amazing – hence the 3 stars. Otherwise very disappointing food for the price — too many better options at the same rate in this area.
