We all loved the dishes we ordered! Everything was delicious. I ordered the curried goat. Such a large portion, I couldn’t finish it all! The only thing was the service was VERY slow. We came around 2:30 on a Sunday, and waited close to an hour after ordering food to be served. Even when paying the check, that took a long time. They were extremely busy when we went, so maybe it’s not typically that slow? Our waiter though was very nice. Place was clean and well maintained.

This place was so hyped up that when I decided to meet up with my friend from high school (7-1 gang), I suggested we grab food and drinks here. We got seated pretty quickly – which I liked – we went on a Thursday night so I guess that’s why. For appetizers, I got the chicken soup & my friend got some kinda shrimp dish. My soup was pretty good, just wished it wasn’t luke warm and my friend demolished his shrimp dish, which is a good indicatiin that he enjoyed it (I think). Our entrées of sweet chili chicken & shrimp and brown stewed chicken where decent. For drinks, I took our waitress’ suggestion of Painkiller. I didn’t quite like it – it had a creamy, fruity taste. My friend got the Creamy Wray which we both liked. It gave us a Mudslide kinda vibe. I enjoyed the conversation and company most!

I’m not really a regular at the Door restaurant . If I do get food from here I’ll get take out . Yesterday my mom , my brother and I dine in here yesterday evening . This has been my second time dining in here . We came here cause my mom wanted to celebrate mother day there . We couldn’t get Sunday to eat here cause the door is fully booked on mother’s day . Yesterday was a lot of customers there were so much people . I DON’T like the door policy . Where if you’re waiting on another person in your group to come you can’t get seated .

I was there with my brother and his kids and my sister and her step daughter. The person that took us to our table was great. The food was good. The portion was good. The only negative was the waitress. She was not what I’m used to from the door. The best part about the door is I shared my concerns with the receptionist and the next day someone called me from the restaurant to hear me. I liked that they were willing to call and hear me. I would encourage anyone who wants a great experience and great food to visit the door. They hardly disappoint.

I have been eating here since they remodeled. Yesterday was my first dine in experience, the atmosphere and staff amazing. My complaint deals with the food, I don’t mind paying good money for good food. My girlfriend and I ordered eschovitch fish,a side of rasta pasta, and oxtail. Before ordering the oxtail we asked approximately how many comes in an order for 36.00. We were told about six and they are a decent size, that was the lie. They cut up an oxtail into half or so where it looks like you’ve got two but it’s really one or a half. When we got home to eat the left overs it was a bunch of tripe mixed in. We will stick to the fish and rasta pasta moving forward. This is my reason for three stars for the food.

The Door definitely attempts to exhibit an atmosphere of fine dining yet family friendly and extremely relaxed for all. The servers and managers provided awesome customer service. Drinks were well made. Food is decent but not as expected due to menu descriptions.

My husband is a pescatarian and knows that the door is the only place he can always get Fish tea from anytime. Eating the soup my first though was that is does not look like fish tea but hey maybe they put some extra pumpkin in this batch. As i am eating it yes there is chucks of fish meat then All of a sudden i get a thicker bite. It’s a piece of beef. I understand that restaurants have to stretch their food and sometimes it maybe left of but come on. You never know Soneone’s allergies or health issues.
