Very nice diner feel, when we walked in Santa was there ready for pictures. That was a treat, as our daughter had to sit up at the bar to sit next to him (her choice). The food was really good and we enjoyed all of the Christian elements, music, decor, etc. The only 4 I gave was because as a first timer, we didnt know it was seat yourself and our initial greeting took a little longer than we expected. After that, we had good service. The food was prepped fresh and the kids chicken tenders were really good.

Food and service were excellent and the atmosphere was chatty and friendly! Going back very soon! May become my favorite non Mexican food restaurant in Cookeville! Thanks you guys at the Doodle for a pleasant dining out experience!

Epitome of Southern Americana! Excellent breakfast! Fast, friendly service! The waitress was a one man band, and is a hard worker! I’ve lived here over 30 years, I had heard about this place but never had breakfast here. I’ll definitely be back with friends.

A few of us meet there for breakfast often. Linda and Carrol are excellent servers! The breakfast menu variety is outstanding. My personal favorite is the tenderloin. It has never been over cooked. The eggs can be ordered as many different ways as you can order a steak. I get the yolks just the way I like them – medium well. The Doodle is a great a place to meet up, eat and organize rides!

Thought we’d give the renovated Doodle a try. Not busy, almost empty, but we waited 15 minutes before we even got menus. Then another 10 minutes before we were able to order. We just ordered sandwiches off the menu and didn’t get our food for an hour! It was decent when we finally got it but not exceptional. Terrible service. We won’t be back.

The Doodle Family Restaurant Great is located just off interstate 40 north of Cookeville, Tennessee. I ordered their giant burger with fries and yes it was a giant burger dressed out with lettuce, tomato, pickles and onion. Crinkle fries came with it and completed a great first time meat at this restaurant. Fast service, great food and awesome prices have this place on the must visit list when in the area.

How this place doesn’t have a solid 5 star rating, I will never know. We were driving through and thought we would try it. We both ordered giant cheeseburgers and let me tell you, this is the best burger ever!! The meat is perfectly seasoned, the bun was perfect. I ordered bacon on mine and the bacon was CRISPY and perfect!! So delicious. The food was HOT also, literally had to let it cook down. Our server was attentive and friendly. I ordered the coconut pie and it was delicious!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
